What I like Not quite. The CLE is a handsome thing, for sure, but it lacks the visual aggressiveness we have come to expect of the firm's more expensive lineup. And does it distinguish itself enough from the CLA or the C-Class Sedan to justify its existence as a unique model in the Mercedes lineup? I don't think so.
Still, there's some good news: The seats are excellently shaped. The rear has enough space all around save for head room. Access here is difficult. Up front you get the instrument cluster from the C-Class, but the infotainment screen from the SL.
And comfort is decent.
What I do not like The car doesn't offer the handling chops that rivals offer. And that 2.0-litre unit, while refined, does not do much to encourage eager driving.
