Review It's Mercedes-Benz's flagship electric SUV, and as you'd expect, its brilliantly capable, but can leave you feeling a little cold...
What I like What I like? The high cabin quiet, the generous space for those in the front two rows, the sizeable digital displays that take up the whole dashboard...
The EQS is designed to impress and does the job well. Being driven in one when seated at the back is an experience, the car glides over all sorts of surfaces and in remarkably quiet, even compared to other electric cars.
What I do not like There's just something missing, I'm afraid, to set it apart from the rest of the EQ range. It's large, but that rounded design cuts down on its visual mass. And you tire of those screens faster than you expect. Is it anymore special than a S-Class? That's up to you to consider...
Review With a 108kWh battery and a large body, the Mercedes-Benz EQS is designed for all those that don't want to make compromises when it comes to going electric.
What I like The fact that it fits, seven, can go for days between charges, and yet, doesn't feel too big and ponderous to drive.
Throw in the fact that it still feels as punchy when you mesh the pedal, just as any other electric car, and there's really very little that you can fault with the EQS.
What I do not like This car is big enough so that shorter passengers will find climbing abroad and jumping out a bit of a hassle.
The car also requires quite the firm stomp on the brake pedal to get it to stop if you've got the regen set to zero. Surely this should be retuned a little.
