My volvo was having a gearbox alert. I know it will be a costly repair and i need to make a good judgement if worth to repair or scrap it as the parf is high for this car. Got a few quotations for comparison and chance upon Soon Xing. Though not a glamorous name for a w/s, but i was impressed with Mr Alvin when i sms him. He replied me promptly and gave a transparent quote as per my description. As i was staying in Simei, he is kind enough to have it drive down to his w/s. He gave the timeline and update the repair progress and after 3 days, the car is back and he delivered it to my home after test drive and final checking. I recheck under the hood and was satisfy that everything is ok except for one small screw for the wiper water bracket. I feedback to Alvin, and told me he will get if fixed the next day (even i told him i will fix it myself) as he has a QA system in place to ensure the car is as good when return back to the Owner and treat any complaint. The warranty given to me is 6 months which i feel is fair enough.
Two thumbs up for this w/shop and i fully recommended it.

Soon Xing Engineering, might b foreign to some car owners but it has been the best workshop that I've send my car to throughout my entire period of owning a car. It all started when I've had gearbox issue and my dealer's authorised workshop wanted to charge me an exorbitant price and I rejected it. Due to that I had to look for another workshop and I was recommended by a relative to come to Soon Xing to get my car checked and repaired. The first time I came here, I was welcomed by Mr Iqbal (Abg Abu). After two days leaving the car at the workshop, I was given a quotation that I myself can't even believe it. I agreed and the car was ready after abt 2 weeks. It was a Fantastic Job by the mechanics of Soon Xing. I was recommend by my friend to this workshop and look for Mr. Abu(Iqbal) I was told by the others workshop that my GEAR BOX got an issue. Soon Xing machanic Ah Boon told was is clucth issue.
