They will recommend "good to have" things for better enhancement on the listening experience but no obligation on that. I drive a VW golf. After a horrible job at another workshop that resulted in water leak from my boot and soak my interior roof liner, I was so loss and anxious but luckily I found Ah Yong. I drove in and Ah Yong explained to me how the rubber boot clips on so rubber will sit tight at the boot area to stop water from going in. He help me clip it properly and put my mind at ease. When I needed to dekit the ICE from my previous ride, I asked around for prices and AA was the most value for the amount of work required. So, obviously I return to them for the ICE on my new ride and reusing what I had and with their expertise in the ICE industry, from countless awards, their recommendation was definitely worth considering. I had my car sent in the morning and was expecting a surprise in the evening and it was a setback instead, the stock head unit had an issue and was not generating any sound though the head unit was functioning. AA took the trouble to troubleshoot and try to find the issue but it wasn't due to their installation and it was adherent that the "culprit" was my HU. They took out most of the ICE that would help to enable me claim my warranty, though that didn't happen because I'm an honest person, and so I had to source from other places to get a replacement stock head unit, cos I'm no fan of android, to get AA to install. Finally, AA got everything up and running after I purchase a used stock HU and AA did gave me a discount for the trouble I went through as it was also their first time that they encounter this issue before. I'm particularly impressed with AA's quality of work and the way they conduct business which is something that I've yet to experienced before in my last few cars. There was no hard selling or pushy kind of sales. The way they set up my ICE and did the cabling was fantastic. I can't even find my active sub controller. I want to thank the team led by Ah Yong for being so customer focused and being able to resolve issues so fast. As a fan of home audio, recently I've decided to invest into a decent set of car audio solution so that I can enjoy music while on the go, as its not possible for me to play my music louder late in the evening at home without disturbing my family members. Went to multiple car audio workshops and found them to be a tad commercial (e.g. quote you a low price, but tons of stuff not included in the quotation) , but I've found Action Auto to be a transparent and trusted advisor that provides an honest opinion, the relationship was not purely a commercial one here, the team spent a good amount of time and effort to educate me about car audio each step of the way, sharing with me which area of sound upgrade will offer me the best bang for my bucks that fit my limited budget, while leaving me to decide for myself if I wanted the upgrade, I truly appreciate their sound business ethics! Not in it just for quick bucks, but building a long-term reputation for their business! From the sound advice and solid workmanships done to my car, one can tell the great passion into car audio the team possessed, and a big thank you to Yong and Ping, who was ever patience with all my queries and the knowledge that you guys so generously shared with me! Though I've got limited budget, but the team managed to tune my system to its true potential, solid stage imaging and SQ are achieved. Dynamic trio of ah yong, ah ping and ah liang. Good knowledge and very customer orientated. Went down to Action Auto from friends recommendation, and wasn't disappointed. Ah ping served me, and was prompt to answer my questions and enquires. No hardselling, just helpful responses. He was helpful in giving me several quotes for different setups as I still not sure to reuse my old system or to start from scratch with them, and what kind of budget I can part with. Finally settled on a 3 way active with dsp/amp combi and a preloved sub. A small tip: Be sure to fix your budget, and try to know what you want so that they can best advise you. Otherwise things will spiral out of control easily! X) very poisonous place! OK jokes aside. Workmanship is top notch, and their knowledge is awesome. I got a combination of new and preloved items, and everything was finished meticulously. Custom wrapped A pillars with Alcantara, super solid and customized woofer box. Everything smells of details and screaming quality. As I went for active setup, tuning was done 3 months later, after running in the speakers. Ah yong was in charge of tuning. He was very professional, and friendly to explain his tuning to me. A lot of clicks and drags in the software, and lots of weird sounds from the CLIO tuning software later, WOW. INSANELY GOOD MUSIC. I could hear new details from songs I thought I knew at the back of my head. I was coming from mid-high end equipment at home (quad driver iems, planar headphones, studio speakers etc) , and the sound quality achieved from the speakers and tuning blew my mind. Thank you AA for the package offered to me. They are not the cheapest, but definitely fair pricing. But the value u get from their services and workmanship, is more than the extra bucks paid. Thank you ah yong for recommending me the sub at such a good price, and tuning the system so many times to meet ur expectations. Been to many audio shops in Singapore but only Ah Yong from Action Auto is able to give me a very detailed explanation of the configurations of car stereo. I installed a 2way full signal ( component and active sub) with them and I'm very impress what they can do at low cost. Will definitely recommend to family and friends in the future. Workmanship is not cheap but quality is very good. Very important to plan and tell them what you are looking for so he can provide something that suits your needs. I am a Grab driver, currently driving Honda Shuttle. The road noise is quite unbearable while travelling on highway. Though of doing sound proofing, being asking around on some workshop, but the price quoted is way too high till I found this Action Auto workshop which price quoted to me is within my budget. I found that the workmanship in handling and doing the sound proofing is excellent. The knowledge on sound system that they share in lay man terms is superb (not sales talk).
