With some 11.5 million units sold since its debut in 1990, and the continued success of the Clio R.S., Renault's best-selling model returns with a rejuvenated appeal, while remaining as one of the most practical models in its segment with its 1.5-litre dCi turbocharged engine, class-leading fuel efficiency and boot space.
The new Clio was unveiled at a launch event by special guest, Scuderia Toro Rosso's F1 Driver, Max Verstappen. An exclusive meet-and-greet cum autograph session was also held for fans and the public alike.
As seen on its performanced-focused R.S. variant, the Clio's hidden rear door handle design flaunts a sleek and sporty silhouette and successfully embeds a five-door architecture with the appeal of a three-door.
Inside, plush dark carbon seats with textured grey panels and contrast white stitching further enhance the dynamism of the lush and sporty cabin. Packed with revolutionary technologies, the Clio comes standard with a 7.0-inch coloured touchscreen R-Link multimedia system, voice control, built-in TomTom navigation, and a digital instrument cluster. It is also equipped with a convenient handsfree key card and walk-away auto lock function.
With an efficient 1.5-litre dCi turbodiesel engine mated to an Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) six-speed automatic gearbox, the new Clio boasts a segment-leading fuel efficiency of 3.7L/100km. Its CO2 emission level of 95g/km is also the lowest in its class and this entitles the car to a high $30,000 Carbon Emission Vehicle Scheme (CEVS) green rebate.
The new Renault Clio retails from $99,999 (inclusive of COE) at press time.
