The 2025 Renault Austral has received a contemporary makeover on its exterior design: It sports a new bonnet; a new bumper featuring small, embossed 3D diamonds scattered around the central logo; a new grille, and new front and rear lights.
It offers two new body colours: Ultramarine Blue and Satin Pearl White. Meanwhile, Satin Schist Grey and Satin Pearl White are reserved for the Esprit Alpine finish.
Inside, carbon-fibre inspired 'Twill' upholstery is accompanied by topstitching on the seats, which also features an embroidered A on the backrest and heated front seats. Its OpenR twin screen combines a 12-inch digital instrument panel with a 9.0-inch or 12.3-inch multimedia screen (depending on the version), as well as a 9.3-inch head-up display.
The new Austral has an option of two powertrains: A 162bhp Mild Hybrid or a 203bhp Full Hybrid E-Tech. Load capacity varies according to the powertrain choice, with the Mild Hybrid option offering 555 litres to 1,761 litres, and the Full Hybrid E-Tech option offering 527 litres to 1,736 litres.
It also has a choice of three trim levels: Evolution, Techno, and Esprit Alpine. Regarding the latter, the 2022 Austral became the first model in Renault's range to offer two Esprit Alpine trim levels (Techno and Iconic). On the new Austral though, it is just a single trim level.
Built at the Palencia plant in Spain, Renault has said that the 2025 Austral will be available in several European countries before the second half of 2025.
