Nissan Ariya scores 2023 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award

The 2023 Nissan Ariya has been awarded the U.S.A Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick+ rating.

To achieve the highest rating from the crash test safety organisation, a car must score a 'Good' rating in the driver and passenger-side small overlap front, original moderate overlap front, and updated side-impact crash tests. The car also has to a 'Good' or 'Acceptable' rating for its head lights, and an ‘Advanced’ or ‘Superior’ rating for the daytime and nighttime testing of its vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash prevention systems.

The Nissan Ariya in the U.S.A comes with the Nissan Safety Shield suite of safety features including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking. Full LED head lights with High Beam Assist are also standard for the car in the U.S.A.

The car also comes with Nissan's ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link technology in the U.S.A, which provides steering assistance and Intelligent Cruise Control for highway driving.
