Limited edition Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing goes on sale in the U.K.

The Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing is now on sale to the lucky people of U.K. The ultra-limited edition model will be produced with just 100 units worldwide - and only 10 are dedicated to right-hand drive models - at £29,305 (S$61,555) each.

Building on the acclaimed work with DS3 WRC and DS3 Racing, Citroen Racing has developed the refined DS3 Cabrio into a limited edition that combines sporting performance, dynamic styling and the pleasure of top-down driving.

Under the bonnet, DS3 Cabrio Racing's 207bhp, four-cylinder 1.6-litre THP engine, delivers 30 percent more power and 15 percent more torque than the standard THP 155 unit on which it is based.

Century sprint is achieved in just 6.5 seconds and continues to climb to a top speed of 233km/h.

Further Citroen Racing modifications include remapping of the engine control unit (ECU), a modified sports exhaust system and sports silencer as well as a modified turbo system.

The striking DS3 Cabrio Racing sets itself apart with sports detailing and a dynamic colour scheme, offset by hints of carbon fibre. The Moondark Matte Grey body, black fabric roof and 18-inch Brilliant Black 'Nemesis' sports alloy wheels are complemented by Brilliant Red DS logo centre caps, vertical stripe, and red brake callipers.

The colour scheme spills into the interior with Alcantara trimmed and embossed Citroen Racing seats with Brilliant Red stitching and headrest inserts. The Moondark Grey dashboard also features a Brilliant Red vertical stripe. A numbered plaque, positioned in front of the gear lever, highlights the model's limited edition status.

Based on the top level specification DSport trim, the DS3 Cabrio Racing includes LED daytime running lights, automatic digital air conditioning and rear parking sensors, among other features, including a Bluetooth-enabled eight-speaker HiFi system.
