The D1 coilover spring rates can be customized from 6kg to 16kg for front and 4kg to 16kg for rear, and come with 30-way adjustable shocks as well as urethane upper mounts. The Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers have these same specs, but add camber adjustable pillow-ball upper mounts in the front and pillow-ball upper mounts in the rear. This means you will not need to separately purchase a camber kit for the front with the Racing Spec coilovers.
Both coilover systems also feature a mono-tube shock body, but the Racing Spec shock body is oversized to allow for better heat dissipation during competition use. The Racing Spec Coilovers are limited to about a 1" drop. They were intentionally designed this way because they are made for performance/track use, and not for "slamming" your car.
Another great feature is that both systems allow for ride height to be adjusted independently of spring pre-load. With other alternatives available on the market today, vehicle ride height is adjusted by reducing or increasing the pre-load on the springs. This primitive method leads to inconsistent spring rates that are dependent upon the vehicle ride height. Having the ride height independently adjustable from the pre-load ensures that the spring rate is always consistent, no matter how high or low your car is.
