Drove the 3.5 ZA G-Edition to Malaysia which belongs to my uncle and it was a really good experience. The Vellfire was packed with lots of features such as powered and memory seats for both driver and passenger which were very convenient. The long wheelbase of the Vellfire allows passengers in the second and even third row to have ample of leg room. The third row is suitable for adult since it has a large leg and head room unlike many other MPVs which have tiny third row space which is better off with small children.

Although the car is huge and heavy, the 3.5 L NA V6 engine was more than sufficient to power it. It was such a joy to floor it on the highway in Malaysia. I would recommend this variant if budget isn't an issue and you want a powerful full size MPV. Overall the opulent comfort and engine of the car made the trip to Malaysia even better.

What I like
Nice exterior (better than it's similar counterpart in Alphard imo)
Toyota's reliability
Long wheelbase
Very spacious & comfortable interior
7 airbags
LED headlights & DRLs
Keyless entry on all four doors and keyless engine start
Sunroof
Good leather seats
Ambient lighting
3.5 L NA V6 engine
Good noise insulation inside the cabin
Power & memory seats for both driver and passenger
Small foldable tray between the seats of second row
Powered ottoman seats in the second row
Rear windows sunshade
Dual power sliding door
Aisle in the second row big enough to walk to the third row with ease
Power tailgate
Rear aircon
Cruise control good for highway

What I do not like
Poor FC though it's expected because of the big engine capacity
Tougher to manouvre around especially in tight spaces like in the multi storey carpark due to it's size. I had to be cautious when entering the gantry of the tuas checkpoint.
Expensive but it's the best full size MPV you can buy at this price point

Went to Borneo Last weekend with my group of friends to test drive this Monster. We are all car enthusiasts and we all previously owned the 2008 registered Audi S5. Now that our cars are expiring, we would like to experience the Luxury and Premium MPVs available. This car towers at 1895mm. This car is indeed one of the tallest MPVs around here. This probably means that this car may not even be able to fit into the older HDB Car Parks. This is a really big issue because I go to my Grandma's Old HDB flat really often and would definitely need parking. With this car, I probably would need to walk a little further than usual. After the test drive, some of us booked this unit while the others booked the Kia Stinger, Mazda 6 and Mazda CX9 with one or two returning to Premium Motors to purchase the new Audi SQ5. I was one of them who went back to continental quality for several reasons.

What I like
This car comes with the Electric Tailgate which is really good because I am someone who loves technology in a car. With this tailgate, I do not need to use too much energy to pull the tailgate down. Anyone with good logical thinking would be able to deduce how heavy the tailgate is. Really cannot imagine closing the tailgate without the electric taigate.
This car comes with the LED Daytime running lights which makes the car look more elegant and striking especially during the day. Probably Standard in all Luxury or Premium Model cars Today.
This car comes with automated seats on the first and second row. I can easily Incline or Decline my seat to my own comfort.
Reading lamps are also provided which is good especially because my Parents as well as children love reading especially in the car. The light is bright enough to make it conducive for reading.
Long Wheel Base is another feature that I like. As compared to the Nissan Elgrand, Honda Odyssey or even the Mazda CX9, this cars wheelbase is the longest. This allows for the passengers in the third row to be seated comfortably with ample legroom even for a person of 1.80 m. This is what many MPVs today struggle with.
This car has the Panoramic Sunroof. This allows for the possibilty of us to open up the sunroof and admire the Beautiful Sky above.
This car has unrivalled safety with 7 airbags. What more can you expect? We can drive at ease nowing the safety backup system.
Rear Air-con also makes the ride more comfortable for the passengers.
Height of car gives driver a birds eye view of the road.

What I do not like
Pickup of the car. The pickup of the car is pretty slow and makes a racket getting up to highway speed. Probably because of the weight of the car and the relatively small 2.5 engine. I did not choose the Vellfire as the replacement to my Audi S5 as you can see here, the S5 is made for performance. After so many years of speed and adrenaline, i would definitely not love a slow drive. I love speed a lot. If you would like speed or more power, go for the parallel imported 3.5l ZA G-EDITION 7-SEATER model.
The F/C of this car is really just bad. At 11.6km/l, we cant really go far. We would only be making frequent visits to the petrol kiosk. Even my S5 was not that bad. my S5 could still do about 12.5-13.5 km/l
Price of the car is OMG!! The price of the car is too pricey for a jap quality top range MPV. Would be more worth it to invest in a continental car. Also for this price, you do not really get much power. Feel that if you really die hard fan of the New Toyota Vellfire, please go for the 3.5 l PI Model. Top up a bit more and you get more horsepower to play with.
Of course, while driving so many passengers, it is definitely not ideal to be racing around. But the speed of this car really is frustrating.

Other than these reasons why I do not really like or probably did not choose to book this unit in the end, However, this car is still luxury and premium. Probably the best in its class.

This is the 2nd Vellfire I've owned. It indeed is a car fit for a king. The comfort which no one complains. The FC of the new one is definitely better than the older one. The one I own is the 3.5 V6 version. The torque is great. Clear meter on NSHW of 180km/h with eyes closed. Handling wise, cant say much since it's pretty much tall. But I think with strut bars and TRD Sportivo suspension, should be much better.

What I like
1. Comfort
2. Super multi purpose. No need to book hotel room :x
3. No complaints from parents or grandparents
4. Almost everything about the car

What I do not like
Price slightly on the steep side but worth it..

The Vellfire is a real first class vehicle. Its a good looking car, but the real quality aspects are very much on the inside. The inside is super spacious, the the reclining seats in the second row make for a super luxurious and comfy ride. There's also lots in the way of gizmos, electric seats, phone connectivity, the works.

Driving the vellfire is a surprising experience. The engine is really good, nice and powerful and never feels lacking even in such a big vehicle. It is also surprisingly nimble and easy to position on the road despite its size, which is really cool. Also very quiet, sound proofing is excellent.

All in all, the Vellfire is a really first class vehicle that offers tons of comfort and luxuriousness.

What I like
- luxurious, spacious and comfortable interior makes every journey enjoyable
- surprisingly easy to drive, engine is smooth and powerful
- first-class quality and feel

What I do not like
- its still a very big vehicle
- doesnt come with a complimentary chauffeur to drive me around?

The second-generation Vellfire continues the boldness design found in its predecessor. Up front, the grille is now wider and more upright, with thicker chrome-plated bars combining with the signature dual headlamps. The main beam (now comes with LED) has been shift to the upper portion, together with the LED daytime running lights which accentuate the height of the bonnet. At the side, the body design is now more sculpted, and new chrome trimmings can be found along the windows. Come to the rear, the taillights are now larger and shifted upwards to the rear windscreen to create a more powerful look.
On the inside, the Vellfire comes with a 2+2+3 seating layout. Towkays will love the two independent 'Ottoman' reclining seats with comfortable armrests and extendable foot rests. For those who buy this car as a family carrier rather than chauffeur-driven, they will appreciate the amount of space available in the last row. Headroom and legroom are generous and maximum comfort is assured.
In terms of equipment, the car comes with the latest Toyota InTouch telematic system, which is loaded with all the features one desires, such as reverse camera, GPS navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, and additional features such as voice command and air gestures. This system works like smartphones and tablets, whereby users can connect to the mobile data in their smartphones and download apps from its iAuto Store.
To improve on the driving performance, the previous 2.4l engine has been replaced with the new 2.5l which was first available in Camry, and mated to a 7-speed CVT to provide better fuel consumption of 12.8km/l. The overall drive is smooth and engine noise is barely heard under normal driving conditions.
To ensure that the passengers are getting 'First-Class travel', the new Vellfire comes with a newly-designed double wishbone rear suspension which increases body rigidity and ensure a more stable handling. NVH has also been significantly improved with better soundproofing materials and a more aerodynamic body design.
Overall, the car is now more modern looking with a sportier design. King of MPV? The all-new Vellfire deserves the title.

What I like
Exterior design
LED headlamps
Generous headroom and legroom

What I do not like
Only the standard body version is available officially. The aero body version, which consists of sportier front and rear bumpers, is not available.
