My last few experiences with previous detailers didn't leave me with confidence in their products anymore. Thus, back in April this year I went to research for a new detailer and to see what technologies are currently available on the market. In my research I came across 5D and their offering of 9H nano glass coatings. Read many positive reviews about what they do and their professional service. I then submitted an enquiry via the website and started conversations with Sam. Sam is simply a pleasure to interact with. He is very responsive over WhatsApp and is happy to explain everything you need to know before you make any decisions. Like many have said here, there is no hard sell. All the package pricings are made known upfront along with a list of exactly what you will get and the services provided. I chose the 7 year package as my car was already 2 years old. The 5D team are also extremely friendly and will chat with you if you wish. They go about their work with the utmost care and professionalism, and genuinely look like they're having a good time and enjoying themselves. After the chemical wash, Sam invited me to personally see what happens. It's amazing to see the amount of iron particles that stick to the paint unseen to the naked eye as evidenced by the purple streaks everywhere. (You can't wash this off yourself!). I thought this was quite cool to see from a customer perspective. In no time was the car then moved for the application of the coating layers. Even after only an hour's work the car was already so shiny which inherently brings a smile to the face. To cut the story short, I probably blinded people on the drive home! Before you leave, Sam will walk you through what the team has done, and how to wash your car to maintain the coating and shine. He'll even let you in on a few secret gems here and there if you listen carefully and ask the right questions. It is now 3.5 months since my visit and I'm happy to say that the product is excellent. The coating is a godsend for washing, and my car always looks new. One word of advice for all you folks considering or who already have visited 5D is to ensure you wash your car every 1-2 weeks. If there are obvious dark patches or discolourations then act to remove those ASAP, even if it's with just a wet tissue (light brush with no rubbing!). I made the mistake of not doing so with some rain run-off from my car porch so there are some light stains visible on my car. I'll see if the team here can buff it off when I bring it back for a wash and a reapplication of the oleophobic coating. Thank you, Sam and the 5D team! After reading so many good comments about this place, I decided to give Sam and his colleagues a chance. The relationship started with simple questions over sms and I found Sam to be super responsive and reassuring. The relationship then went on to the next stage where I took my car down and his trusted assistant Mike walked me through the different ceramic coatings packages and and even Stek paint protection film, taking the time to explain the products, and allowing me time to think on my own time. No hard selling which is what I like. After deciding, Sam and his team of groomers then meticulously went through each step of the grooming process to wash, clean, dry, wax, special coat, check, re-coat, re-check, touch-up, re-coat, double-check, etc... over more than 8 hours. All these were also conducted in 3 different rooms so you know these guys are super serious about ensuring your car gets the correct treatment. You can also see for yourself that at every step of the process, the passion was just plain for all to see. It felt even more gratifying when you know Sam the boss is on site at every step getting "dirty", and also doing the cleaning, coating, checking, etc... After the whole session, Sam will then take you a walk around your newly polished car to talk you through what his team has done, and what else one needs to do to maintain the shine on the car (literally from top to bottom). He then reminds you to bring the car back a week later for him to go through one round of car wash (so you know how to do it on your own) and also to do another check that you're satisfied and that nothing was missed out. Today, I went back for my follow-up visit, and it was equally impressed with the car wash and mini training session on how to maintain your ceramic-coated car. I would recommend Sam and his team if you're keen to see what they can do for your (new or old) car. If you wish to stay during the entire 8 hour session, I know Sam does not mind either (although there is no really concern for you to) so you know how much hard work goes into undoing all bad work done on your car previously, doing a simple ceramic coating or getting paint protection film for your car. I was one of the few who stayed that day and fortunately met a few of his customers coming back for a car wash and new additional jobs, and all vouched for Sam and his team, reassuring you that you have placed your faith in the right place. I collected my new Forester 2.0i-L Sports recently. After careful consideration, price comparation and a guided tour around 5D, I decided to give Sam the job. I took up his Extreme Plus package with no regrets. This is upon seeing the end results. Although there are many applicators and products for ceramic coatings in the market, Kubebond is one of the fews with certifications. As good applicator, the layout of Sam's car spa workshop is very systematic. With car wash in one section, polishing and applying ceramic coatings in another two confined air-conditioned sections. This is important as atmosphere dust must kept to the minimal. I stayed there throughout the 8hrs session on my car and I can see Sam and his guys are very detail with their customer's cars.
