Review Went to the recent launch of the 5 and i5 in Sentosa recently. Was not able to submit review due to some glitches.
First looks of the exterior is a WOW factor with longer wheelbase, the embossed 5 at the backdoor, giving it a distinct look that you are definately looking at a 5 series.
Interior was almost a replica to the 7 series which there is a 12 inches curved screem as dashboard that is a curved touched screen too. You can do many customizations to suit your mood and driving needs.
Inside there is a new gadget which is the interior camera for selfie purpose or not really sure why its given this gadget too.
Driving it was a SHEER DRIVING PLEASURE as its slogan says, with 310nM torque in it which is adequate for this large mid sized sedan.
Though did not get to try the revving of SPORTS mode as there is a speed limit at the event, you can feel the car pushing you to go more for it.
Overall, this is a breakthrough to the new 5 that can captivate your choices against other premium models.
What I like Well equipped car with many features and gadgets
Embossed 5 at the rear door for its identity
What I do not like Price (dated Oct and Nov 2023 due to COE)
Sunroof (did not notice)
Interior Camera (not sure what is the purpose)
Review The BMW 5 Series has a new exterior and comes with plenty of screens in the cabin. And its still has all the bits that make it fun to drive underneath.
What I like The sheer turn of pace despite a 2.0-litre engine. The feelsome steering and the fact that this sedan always feels eager - whether you're accelerating off the line of cutting through some corners.
What I do not like New looks will take some getting used to.
Review The BMW 5 Series has grown and become all angular - but is it the executive sedan for the eager driver?
What I like In many aspects, yes. What impresses immediately about the 5 Series is the accuracy and feedback (for a premium sedan) that is on offer.
The car feels fast enough and reasonable eager despite offering only 187bhp.
And driving around at night that iconic glow makes the car unmistakable.
