The MG 5 EV eschews the razzle-dazzle of modern EVs, instead focusing on being a practical car that still packs the thrills of instantaneous torque. The end result is surprisingly good.
Review The MG 5 offers all the option here to to electric in a no-frills manner. It's a workhorse vehicle all around, and a great one at that.
What I like Other than the low asking price and the practical space for passengers and luggage?
This is a no frills electric car through and through. 50kWh battery is sizable, energy consumption is healthy, and power output is decent. You sit at quite a nice height, so getting in and out is easy. what more do you need?
What I do not like Infotainment, exterior, and cabin all could use a bit more design flair. There's plenty of great looking estates out there to take reference from.
Review If you're looking at the Ioniq but want something with a little more space don't forget to stop by the MG showroom and take a close look at this, the MG 5.
What I like There's actually decent power to be had in the MG 5. Acceleration does not wane until you really exceed highway speeds, and there's also good space for all passengers and luggage. 50kWh battery does not take too long to charge as well, so that range anxiety won't set in as fast.
What I do not like Maybe the MG 5 looks too much like a regular petrol-powered vehicle, there's still a regular grille up front and the cabin looks just like that in any other regular vehicle. If that's your thing then great, but I say you might want to wait for the facelifted MG ZS to arrive here.
