After driving for more than 5k km, think ready to comment:

The drive is surprisingly fun but suspension is one solid ‘Sports mode’. You can feel every shape of the road, bumps and unevenness. Heard others say it will soften after 15k km?

Despite Korean made, car feels continental and not lightweight like Japanese. Need to make mental adjustment having driven Japanese makes for years. The false sense of safety in a cocooned cage, especially at high speed and you don’T feel it … Till braking when it's like a huge tank coming a stop.
Also need to change driving habits for a longer car (but turning radius is surprisingly OK) with huge ears (side mirrors).

No adjustment for 2nd row is OK as we hardly need to adjust it (come to think of it, also true for our old Japanese MPV which was adjustable), and the longer body gives more room for the rear seat and a flip up seat that gives easier access to rear.

What I like
1. The drive is smooth, steady and quiet. Don’t feel like a 1.4 at all.
2. A family car that does not look like a family car
3. High driving position, but not too high like SUV (for sake of grandpa), and not too low like family cars that drive like sedan.
4. The car audio system sounds great! (if use manual equalizer. The presets are terrible)
5. Muscular look – love or hate it.
6. Options for personalizing (poisons) your ride.

What I do not like
1. FC not that great. Achieved 11-12 km/l (~8.3 l/100km)
2. Slow pickup unless pushed - need performance tuners! But cruise on highway is shiok!
3. Handbrake offset is for LHD car!
4. Front seats are very de Hard! Get cushion if you don’t have enough natural butt padding. Strangely, the rear seats are OK, softer.
5. Owner manual is generic for all trim levels – frustrating to read when unsure what is applicable and what's not. End up salivating over what you don’t get.
6. The aircon seems ‘continental’ like the car. Initially need to set 23 deg C or lower for SG weather. Too high, heater kicks in. Better now after run in, can set as high as 24 deg C for comfort.
7. The 5th rear door needs beefing up. Sounds flimsy when closing.
8. Coasting feels less freewheeling, especially when coasting to a stop.

This is the first time I write review to share my experiences.

I have been searching for 7 Seater MPV quite a while as kids are getting bigger. Comparing many brands and models like Toyota Wish, Honda Freed, Mitsubishi Outlander, Mazda 5, Citron Grand Picasso C4, and KIA Carens, my perference was Japan make car as I drove Nissan, Toyota and Mitsubishi before.

My first choice was Mitsubishi Outlander and second choice Citron Grand Picasso C4. I need to admit that I didn't even put Chevrolet in my comparison list before. But then after seeing Chevrolet Orlando Adv on Newspaper and test drive done, I found hidden gem of value for money, well balanced MPV that meet my budget, my criteria and my family need.

After driving over 15,000 Km experience, my family really enjoy the comfort and quieter ride. I can feel that less drifting while curving, effortless in cruising, higher road view feel safer in driving.

It is worth to consider and test drive if you are looking for MPV.

What I like
1) It is MPV but higher road view like SUV (cross over??)

2) Turbo Engine 1.4A (lower Road Tax, powerful yet smaller engine compare to previous version of 1.8LT)

3) Good Sound Insulation that only seem in Premium car (may be my other cars are too noisy)

4) Solid driving experience and feel safer on the road (not flying feel when you push over 100kmh in highway)

5) Value for Money with many premium features like Cruise Control, Build-In GPS, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera, Auto Wiper, Folding Mirrors and nice interior finishing.

6) Spacious inside yet Stylish Design, Flexible Seats and wider leg rooms

7) Reinforced side doors instead of Air-Bags (Better Safety)

8) Reasonable Fuel Consumption (11Km/Ltr) for 7 Seater MPV

What I do not like
These are main reasons I didn't able to rate 5 stars for Features and exterior styling.

1) No Daytime Running Light (DRL), new face lift 2016 model has it but sad to learn that only left hand drive for now

2) No Answer button at steering wheel to pick up Bluetooth linked Mobile Call

3) No Auto Head Light

4) No Push Start Engine

5) Jerking during low gear shift

6) No Sliding Door for back seat

7) Boring Alloy Rim design dirty very easily

8) Black Plastic in Body Lining need to maintain (No extra coating)

This review done on 1 hr drive after getting the car and compared to Kia Carens test drive.

Bought this car and its the one thats within my budget and overall calculation base on 10 years ownership, it is saving me between easily 10k for my needs compared to Kia Carens 1.7 diesel turbo.

Kia Carens had 304 NM torque vs 200 Nm on Orlando 1.4T, This was apparent at the short climb at the entrance of Labrado park then turn ride, don't know whats its exact name. Just 1 day after i got my ride, i tested this hill climb and it does seems working a little harder. But how many climb like this do you need to do every year?

Interior, seems ok to me, while Carens is a little more posh also with the center console that comes with it.

FC wise, not a good comparison now since we know Kia should do better and cheaper for its diesel pump.

Kia caren does seems to have better ride quality, less bumpy as all mpv does.

OVerall, this car fits my budget for 10 years ownership and served its purposes for a family of 5 where occasionally needs to ferry 1 more passenger for long trips.

Now its really about what problem it will give after some time as Its not a japan made.

What I like
- under S$100k with 47k COE
- Non frills package.
- Looks good
- Drive is not bad
- Does have power on the highway
- Cruise control is not bad at all.
- Built in GPS console is good
- Audio quality definitely good enough for non ICE hobbyist.
- Manual folding mirror

What I do not like
- No steering wheel lock built in
- No auto headlight off when leaving the car
- FC on our usual neighborhood road seems demanding.
- How reliable is it in the long run as Japan Car supporter often claims how reliable their Japan made is.
- hill climb could do better if its tuned to higher torque.

Been driving the car for the past few days and I'm happy to say that I'm very satisfied with the experience thus far.

-Powerful 1.4 turbo engine,
-Leather seats,
-Large bootspace when the last row is knocked down,
-Minimal body roll,
-Taller driving position

Just make sure you get those round blindspot mirrors to assist with parking. I've yet to be able to tell the FC for this car since I'm still on my 1st tank.

What I like
- Good pickup
- Flexible seat arrangements
- Folding mirrors
- Decent stock infotainment system
- 2-stage unlocking of vehicle (only unlock driver's door at 1st stage)
- Little body roll
- safest cage chasis (don't wish to test it though)
- of course, the excellent pricing at for a MPV

What I do not like
- Baby carseats positon higher as compared to my old ride (which was too low)
- Noisy stock tires
- Internal trims plastic-kish (99k...cannot complain la)
- 2nd Row seat cannot be adjusted like the front seats
- Mediocre stock solar films (Thermal Guard)
- No Push-start engine startup

Hi All,

If you are looking for MPV, you may like to consider Chevrolet Orlando.
Test it to believe the comfort level.

I own a Honda Stream RSZ previously and Orlando is my second ride.
Love it so much.

What I like
1. Value for money car @ below S$120k
2. Great pickup
3. Feel solid

What I do not like
As usual, lesser car boots space.

... If you're looking for a Premium Luxury Vehicle, this is definitely not for you.

The Orlando is very well poised, and balanced i.E. (Handling / Value / Performance / Styling / Functionality).

It is surprisingly nimble, and with a revised 2014 1.4L Turbo, it can quite easily out-maneuvre and perform its peers, despite being heavier.

Like a Draft Horse that was designed and built with one purpose in mind... 'pull'.

What I like
++++++++++++++++
- Handling >>> Min. Roll, really good around corners; wide turning radius = Nimble

- Value >>> doesn't cost a bomb; modest pricing compared to its peers

- Performance >>> 1.4T spools at 1,800rpm... good pick up and mid-range power for its weight and class...

- Reliability >>> Neither an erratic DSG nor atrociously witless ETG... just a straightforward gearbox, that shifts smoothly.

- Styling >>> has more muscle to it... that feels more grounded

-Functionality >>> its a mid-sized MPV; that does its job.
++++++++++++++++

What I do not like
++++++++++++++++
- Steering wheels >>> should be leather wrapped! (Unforgivable)

- Handbrake Lever >>> should be leather wrapped!

- Suspension >>> can be a tad softer for more comfort... better shock absorbers vs Compound Crank Axle.
++++++++++++++++

Pretty sure future models will be even more successful!

Having driven the car for 5000km already, I must say that it is a workhorse that I can rely on. I have to admit that it wasn't love at first sight when I saw the car. Was contemplating the Vezel or V40, but due to family needs, I decided to get this instead. It was also one of the lowest priced MPV then and the 1.4l turbo engine impressed me with its pickup. The car felt very stable when driven at 90kmh and I have the confidence to go around corners at very high speed. The steering also felt solid and not too light. Fuel consumption is also acceptable considering that I have a heavy right foot. Third row of space is still acceptable to fetch my younger sister and mother, although I don't think it would be that comfortable on a road trip.

What I like
1. Value for money car
2. Good pickup due to turbo engine, nice car to cruise around in.
3. Car door feel solid compared to some other MPVs that I test drove.
4. Acceptable fuel consumption(9.1l per 100km, based on reading)
5. Good road presence
6. Height provides a good range of vision.
7. 5 years warranty by Alpine
8. Car not that common, so relatively easy for me to book servicing slots. Some other cars need as long as two months in advance.

What I do not like
1. Entertainment system cannot be upgraded easily. Tried to look for third party installers to install, but I was informed that the system cannot be swopped easily.
2. Due to dashboard design, the fuel meter and engine temperature meter cannot be seen clearly under bright sunlight.
3. No keyless entry.
4. Very little bootspace available when third row of seats is up.

This is a first MPV I own after owning 2 other cars. I got my new Orlando before the CNY this year and have clock about 1,500 km now (OPC).

I took it up to Malacca with 5 adults and a two year old child after the first servicing and was really impressed with the comfort level (maybe it's still new). This car although it's a 1.4l car but the power is adequate for overtaking on the highway (thanks to the turbo charger).

Interior is nice but one negative aspect is the boots space is really narrow when all the seats are up. Overall I am satisfied with this buy and I would like to recommend any one who is looking to buy a MPV to put this car in your to view list.

I have view a few others MPVs before but are drawn to the Orlando as I found that it's the most economical MPV Around.

What I like
High Driving view,
Nice and comfortable interior,
Turbo Charger,
cruise control,
Good insulation.

What I do not like
Small boots space when all the seats are up.
No sliding doors.

Orlando using battery compare to Wish is a lot of different ,my wish battery can last for 2 years,Orlando only 13 month due to they have a lot of electric use.
The problem is the work shop never inform when i send in for servicing .The battery dead timing is 2 weeks after servicing .
The 2nd year is same, the battery dead again at outside and the brake have sound due to brake pad gone. This also happen after servicing 3 weeks later .
Just wanna why the service center never check that for me.
And 3rd year the water tank broke when i drive on the way home on PIE ,but lucky this under warranty they change for me .
3rd years the engine got jerking problem when cruising around 60km ,but the service center unable to find out the problem till now they said the warranty finish :-(
So sad that the authorize service center couldn't find out their vehicle problem

What I like
The design and the size , stable when turning at curve .
Sound system good compare to others original.

What I do not like
under power no pick up .fuel consumption high ( City drive 8km/L-shell 98)not as what they said .13/L

My second Chevrolet car. One of the most bang for the bucks MPV you can find in Singapore. Small engine with good power and good fuel efficiency. Lower road tax and insurance. Having start stop engine system and direct injection system will be better. Reliablity is a question though.

What I like
Good value for money.
Good fuel efficiency at 13.5km/l for such a heavy car.
Good power I think better than 2.0NA.
6 Speed with manual override.
Plenty of premium features such as auto wiper, reverse camera, ABS with EBD, cruise control, gps navi, bluetooth, retractable side mirror, steering wheel control,

What I do not like
No paddle shift
No auto headlight
No DVD
Engine not responsive when RPM is < 1500. Maybe due to turbo haven't kicks in or turbo lag?
Heavy car at 1.6Ton compared to similar car at 1.4Ton
Low OMV
