Awesome family SUV with added tinge of performance `
The Skoda Kodiaq RS is a unique car as it is at a sweet spot in providing a perfect mix between family practicality and performance. The reason the Kodiaq has been very successful in Singapore is because it is very practical. Although when all 7 seats are up you only get an underwhelming 270 litres of boot space, when the third row is folded, you would get an enormous 760 litres of boot space, which is slightly less than its competitors but gets the job done. The space in the third row is enough for moderately sized adults to sit for a short trip, but best left to children for longer trips. The room in the second row is phenomenal, with massive leg room and headroom and can hold 3 adults easily. The seats come with a sporty pattern design and have red stitching throughout, giving a "RS" Feel. The infotainment system is classic VW group system, as such experience might be laggy at times and feels outdated. However with wireless android auto these issues can be ignored easily. The 2.0 litre engine produces 241 hp and 370 nm of torque, which allows this car to perform overtaking maneuvers with ease. However although this is a RS car, it does not feel very fast as its name suggests. The engine is not very exciting in comfort, but awakens in sports mode, with an acceptable exhaust sound for a RS car. The steering is responsive enough with okay feedback, expected from a RS car. The car is pretty fuel efficient; One can expect around 7.5 litres per 100km, which is good for a car this size. Ride quality is phenomenal thanks to its dynamic chassis control, especially in comfort where suspension is softer, allowing the car to just glide over bumps with ease. The tall ride height allows the ride quality to be exceptional. Cabin noise is minimal. Body-roll is inevitable as it is a huge car, but is decent in sports mode. The blackened grill and vents really adds to the sportiness of the car, along with the special aero wheels, really allows the car to maintain a lowkey sporty profile. The full LED matrix headlights makes the car more aggressive, and also is useful as it changes brightness according to the cars in front of it. The Canton speaker system is exceptional, which is perfect for audiophiles like me. Overall, the Kodiaq RS is the definition of family-oriented sportiness: perfect family hauler with the additional option of driving like a mad man.

Driving Just Got Really Serious (RS) On The Road `
Skoda rides on their line of success with past launch of models that are receptive amongst critics, Skoda did not disappoint this time with fiercer and muscular RS Line (& 4x4) that are bound to keep big car lovers on their test drive list. From the exterior offers a distinct front grilles, smooth curvy edge that brings out fierce looks and a luxury style of VIP-esque escort type of vehicle is not hard for it to be noticed on the road. But, the attention seeker is that 20" Alloy rims with the removable aerodynamic covers, that gives different sporting looks and a sort of better control on the road without the need for changing to other tech infused rims available on the market. The Full LED Matrix Headlights packs another extra punch to its aggressiveness, and provides better fuel efficiency for the car. It is also an intelligent feature that recognizes lights from oncoming traffic and adjust according to the brightness when necessary, great for trip out of Singapore. From the interior offers more than sufficient leg space, with the panoramic sunroof that seems to amplify the interior space of the car even more. Leather seats with quilted design feels smooth on the touch along with the rear aircon vents (temperature adjustible). Front row RS Sports Seats, and a thoughtful umbrella holder to keep the moisture away from the car just shows how upgraded Skoda has become in this category in terms of performance and daily convenience. The wow factor is the Canton speaker system, that fits perfectly into Kodiaq, which perfects the mood for a long road trip up Malaysia. With a long duration driving and going on a bumpy road trip, Skoda Kodiaq RS can just do it all with no hassle. Overall, the Kodiaq RS can rule on any kinds of roads that comes in their way, without compensating for passengers comfort and driving uneasiness.
