Good 1st car choice! `
I was scouting around for a hatchback for quite some time since last year, and in June finally decided to get one b4 the COE prices sky rockets. I had in mind specifically what car I wanted: a hatchback with good FC, safe, good handling, stable at high speed. I scouted around and had shortlisted a few cars that were around the budget: Honda Jazz, Peogeut 207, Citroen C4, Ford Fiesta. In the end, it was down to Jazz and Fiesta. Jazz is realli good and has excellent FC. What made me decided for Fiesta is the exclusiveness of the car and the "feel safe" effect when inside the car. When opening the car door, you will experience the "solid door" feeling, as the side doors have side impact beams to ensure protection for the passengers and drivers. The boot is spacious (partly bcos there is no spare tire, the company uses the tire foam pump instead). Inside the car, the center console is simple and easy to use. The sound system (though I'm not too sure what system it is) is crisp and clear, with good bass. The car is able to seat 3 people at the back and is almost comparable, if not slightly wider than the Jazz. The handling of the car is exceptional, even in tight corners, the car is able to handle them easily without much body roll. As with other Ford cars, the pick up for Ford is slightly sluggish, but that is normal for all Ford cars; at cruising speed of about 100km/h, the car feels really stable. Some things that I hope would be better with the car are: There is no center armrest for the car, not even as an option. The FC I got during the first 2500km was about 10km/l.. now after the first servicing, it is slightly better at about 11km+/l, and I'm not a heavy footer. The claimed mileage is avg 14.6km/l, so I'm quite a distance away from that mileage. Hopefully, after running in for 20k km, the mileage would move closer to around 13km/l. Driving it for 2 months now and I'm definitely loving it! Fiesta is definitely a car that you can consider as an alternative to Jazz.

Great car only to be held by auto tranmission `
This is a great little car. The exterior design is fresh, sporty and has a assortment of funky colors. Guys don't have to worry getting laugh at driving a girlie car with the ford fiesta. The interior is well thought out and finding the functions is intuitive. The car comes with an assortment of functions such as bluetooth, cruise control, ipod and USB connectivity, 5 airbags and all other safety functions.
