With the recent buzz about COE crash, decided on a second car for my family. Tested the R1, Spark and finally the "I". Came up tops on our list finally. Turbo-charged Mivec 659cc engine rear-mounted midship layout. Superb straightline acceralation and actually quite a fun car with rear driven powertrain. Solid interior build with auto-folding mirror, cute Mickey-mouse style meters and keyless entry. It even came with a Blitz Boost gauge!! Pull away from 2700rpm and feel the tiny turbo charger starting to up the low end torque to unbelieveable level, given its low weight (899kg) coupled with 64hp. Anyway my wife decided on the car and sign on the dotted line with just a single test-drive. Love at first sight!

Test-drove the i, before test-driving the Peugeot 107.
The i has really fast pick-up, due to the turbo. Rear passengers could hear the angry engine during hard acceleration (engine's at the rear). The interior is really spacious, except the width as it's a small car.
Because it is a tall vehicle with a narrow body, the car felt unstable, with every turn on the steering wheel exaggerated. It kinda feels unsettled. The steering is also rather dead at centre. It pales so much in comparison to the Peugeot 107 which has a beautifully weighted steering and very communicative.
Love the interior of the car, and the view out of the bubble windscreen is really nice. Love the single wiper, love the Play version with Xenon headlamps and body-kit.
Heard from some owners that the fuel consumption can be below expectations, with some getting just 14km/L. This is almost what i am getting from my Honda Airwave which has a 1.5-litre engine. This is probably due to heavy right-foots together with the turbo. It can be quite addictive to push the Mit i around as the vehicle feels light and nimble in tight spaces, especially in between traffic.
Overall, i love this car if not for the high asking price.
