ZO Motors has announced the establishment of its first North American manufacturing plant in California. This milestone also marks the relocation of the company's regional headquarters to the Fontana facility.
The newly constructed facility spans 39,133 square metres, with a factory floor area of 19,510 square metres. Located in Fontana, a city within the Greater Los Angeles area, it is approximately 79km from downtown Los Angeles.
The new plant will serve as the cornerstone of ZO Motors' operations in the U.S.A, supporting series production of a diverse portfolio of zero-emission products under the ZM Trucks brand. These will include electric commercial trucks, terminal tractors, and airport ground service equipment, and the state-of-the-art facility is expected to commence production in the first half of 2025.
ZO Motors has already announced its cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Cambodia, which will be instrumental in supplying the APAC markets. The addition of the new Fontana plant emphasises the company’s strategic commitment to scaling its operations in regional markets and grow its global footprint.
