Uwe Gemballa, founder of Gemballa found dead

"We have found the body of Gemballa and we're now investigating the circumstances around his death. A murder docket has been opened." said a spokesperson for the South African Police recently. It seems that the founder of Gemballa, famed for their monster powerful Porsche 911s, Cayennes and a certain, Uwe Gemballa had been found dead near Pretoria, South Africa.

After being reported missing since February of this year, Uwe Gemballa was found shot in the head in what looked like an organized crime related hit. Hands tied and body wrapped in cellophane tape. Last reported to be seen alive after travelling to South Africa on the 8th of February he was supposedly there to work on a few business deals (some reportedly shady, hence the gangland style murder) in order to try save his company, Gemballa Automobiletechnik from going under. Very nice cars, very expensive but somehow it wasn't generating enough income to stay afloat.

When he went missing in February, people speculated that he was jumping ship, abandoning his company as he had gave his wife Power of Attorney to manage Gemballa in his absence. By March, Mrs Gemballa had filed for bankruptcy and it had later surfaced sometime last month that a former employee has taken over the company. Saving the company from a sad death.

The same cannot be said for Uwe Gemballa. Who shall forever be remembered for his outrageously tuned Nurburgring lap record holding 911s (usually going after RUF tuned 911s) as well as those Cayenne Avalanche, huge Porsche SUVs with huge power and a rocking bodykit. May his company hopefully carry on with the legacy he started.
