Porsche has significantly increased the share of its EVs sold, as per its results for the first quarter of 2025. A total of 71,470 cars were sold between January 2025 and March 2025, with 38.5% of them being electrified (25.9% EVs and 12.6% PHEVs).
In Q1 2025, the Panamera - available in both pure combustion and plug-in hybrid variants - recorded the strongest growth amongst the marque's six model series, with an increase of 27% (7,769 deliveries). Deliveries of the Macan hit 23,555 (up by 14%), with over 60% of these (14,185) comprised of the all-electric variants. 11,390 examples of the 911 were delivered: A decline of 12%.
The 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models jointly recorded 4,498 deliveries, a drop of 22% as compared to 2024. Porsche says this was mainly due to limited model availability due to European cybersecurity regulations. The Taycan recorded 4,203 units (down by 1%) while the Cayenne made 20,055 deliveries (down by 28%).
Among the different sales regions, North America continued to be the largest market, with its 20,698 deliveries representing an increase of 37% compared to the same period last year. In Europe (excluding Germany), Porsche delivered 18,017 vehicles in the first quarter of 2025: 10% less as compared to 2024. In Germany, 7,495 customers were able to take delivery of their vehicles, marking a fall of 34%.
Looking ahead, Porsche has stated that it will be investing in the brand and the product portfolio in order to be able to react flexibly to customer requirements.
