TVS Motor Company has unveiled the Apache RTR 310, a naked streetfighter motorcycle aimed at offering riders high levels of performance and technology. It is the range-topping model in the RTR lineup.
The motorbike features a Hyper Spec Trellis Frame for improved high-speed response and steel tapered handlebars for enhanced rider control. A lightweight aluminium subframe gives the bike a menacing, cyborg look.
The Apache RTR 310 is equipped with several 'segment-first' technologies typically only found in more powerful and more expensive machines. These include cruise control, and race-tuned Dynamic Stability Control equipped with Cornering ABS, Wheelie Control, and Slope Dependent Control.
Five ride modes, including a Supermoto mode that disables the rear ABS when activated, are available. When the Dynamic kit is specified, the Apache RTR 310 comes with fully adjustable suspension to cater to more experienced riders.
The hand levers have four levels of adjustment, while the ergonomics have been optimised for better load distribution and lower back comfort.
For convenience, the Apache RTR 310 has SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity, allowing the rider to access functions such as turn-by-turn navigation with what3words, telephony, and GoPro control.
Cruise control helps make longer rides more comfortable, while the tapered handlebars accord the rider better control
TVS also highlights that the Apache RTR 310 comes with a bi-directional quickshifter, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a reverse-inclined DOHC engine, which the firm says helps with 'mass centralisation'.
Said motor is a 312cc unit with all-new forged aluminium pistons, delivering 35bhp at 9,700rpm and 27Nm of torque at 6,650rpm.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed gearbox, and TVS quotes a 0-60km/h acceleration time of 2.81 seconds. Keeping engine temperatures optimal are the brand's Engine Coolant Jacket Optimisation, along with 23 radiator tubes.
Apart from the Dynamic kit, buyers can also option the Dynamic Pro kit. This adds Race Tuned Dynamic Stability Control (RT-DSC), and a Climate Control Seat, which supposedly offers instant heating and cooling by 15 degrees Celsius.
Other accessories offered to RTR 310 customers include a visor, pannier and top box kit, along with 14 safety gears and lifestyle merchandise to complement their purchase.
