Performance marque Abarth has returned, promising to set the hearts of fans on fire with the new Abarth 695 Esseesse limited edition.
Produced in a limited edition of just 1,390 models, split equally in two with 695 in Scorpion black and 695 in Campovolo grey, the Abarth 695 Esseesse is a collector's edition vehicle dedicated to those seeking exclusivity and performance.
For its creation, Abarth's engineers and designers drew inspiration from its 1960s predecessor - the Cinquino 695 Esseesse. With a displacement of 690cc and 37bhp on tap, it was designed for daily use and as a sporty city car, but aimed at those who were seeking performance on everyday roads.
Available in hatchback form only, the new Abarth 695 Esseesse features a new dual-hunched aluminium bonnet that reduces weight by 25% compared to a normal steel bonnet. This new aluminium bonnet, together with the Akrapovic exhaust, reduces the car's overall weight by 10kg compared to the Abarth 595 Competizione. Demonstrating Abarth's commitment to driving dynamics, Koni FSD shock absorbers are fitted as standard, along with four-piston red Brembo brake calipers in the front.
At the rear, a new spoiler has been fitted. Its angle is fully adjustable between zero to 60°. At its maximum angle, the spoiler provides a 42kg increase in aerodynamic loads at 200km/h, improving stability and responsiveness.
The exterior design brings the car's storied past into the present, with extensive white detailing, mirror caps and side stickers, white 17-inch alloy wheels, and red Brembo brake calipers. A 695 logo on the side and 695 Esseesse badge on the rear reaffirm its identity. Completing the look are twin titanium Akrapovic tailpipes, delivering emotive sound both on the road and on the track.
Inside, the Sabelt-manufactured seats include the words 'one of 695' on the headrest, marking its exclusivity. The customisation continues on the Alcantara dashboard fascia, where the laser-cut words '695 Esseesse' features on the lower right corner. To emphasise its racing heritage, carbon fibre adorns the gear lever and steering wheel inserts.
The new 695 Esseesse is equipped with the punchy 1.4 T-jet engine mated to a manual transmission, delivering 177bhp and a top speed of 225km/h.
In terms of connectivity, the Abarth 695 Esseesse is equipped with the Uconnect infotainment system with satellite navigation, and a 7-inch touchscreen with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
