Subaru Crosstrek nets Top Safety Pick award in the U.S.A

Subaru of America, Inc. has announced that its 2024 Impreza has earned a 2023 Top Safety Pick+ award, while its 2024 Crosstrek (read our review of the Singapore Crosstrek here) has secured the 2023 Top Safety Pick award by the U.S.A Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The firm states that for 2023 the Ascent, Impreza 5-door, Outback, as well as the all-electric Solterra all secured Top Safety Pick+ awards, while its Crosstrek, Legacy and Forester secured the Top Safety Pick award.

To qualify for the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award in 2023, a vehicle must earn a 'Good' rating in the updated side impact test as well as in the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front and original moderate overlap front tests. Head lights rated 'Good' or 'Acceptable' must be standard across all trims, and a front crash prevention system that earns 'Advanced' or 'Superior' ratings in both the daytime and night-time vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations must be available.
