Skoda Superb voted Car of the Year eight times

The Superb has been named Car of the Year 2009 in the Czech Republic. The other seven awards have come from Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ukraine. The Superb was also shortlisted and awarded fifth place in the prestigious European Car of the Year Awards.
Skoda has sold over 20,000 new Superbs across Europe, and was recently awarded "Winter Car of the Year 2009" by Finnish magazine Tekniikan Maailma.

Other Superb awards to date include Czech Republic's Auto Motor und Sport (Best Cars - upper medium segment category winner), Motoring Journalists Club (Technological Innovation of the Year for Twindoor).
In Germany, Skoda also received Bild am Sonntag's "Golden Steering Wheel 2008" in the medium segment category, Auto Motor und Sport - Best Cars - winner of the category "Upper Medium Segment Imports", and Auto Zeitung - Auto Trophy 2008 - "Upper Medium Segment Imports" category
