Skoda reveals updated Scala and Kamiq

Skoda has revealed the updated Scala and Kamiq.
New for the Skoda Scala are redesigned head lights and a front grille. The former is now slimmer than before, with its LED modules said to take inspiration from blocks of ice. The head lights here also now comes with two LED strips giving the hatch a new light signature, and customers will be able to opt them as LED Matrix items.
The grille of the Skoda Scala also now has redesigned vertical elements, while the air intakes at either side of its front bumper are now more pronounced than before. At the rear, the Skoda Scala has retained its iconic extended rear window that reaches down to the taillights, although the 'Skoda' lettering on the tailgate has been updated to match the firm's new corporate image.
The Skoda Kamiq, meanwhile, also gets a new grille. Now larger and stands more upright, itss double slats have also been made more prominent, giving the Kamiq a more rugged look.
The front bumper of the Kamiq has also been redesigned to give the car added visual width, while the silver trim at the bottom now sports three openings. As on the Skoda Scala, the Kamiq also gets redesigned head lights, which can be had as Matrix LED items. The rear bumper of the Skoda Kamiq has also been redesigned, and now houses a more prominent underbody element that comes finished in silver.
Both cars are now offered with restructured interior design selections, available across three new trim levels. The entry-level 'Studio' design selection will come with black fabric upholstery in the cabin.
Opt for the 'Loft' design selection and your car will come with seats upholstered in grey fabric, while the 'Lodge' selection utilises Suedia microfibre, and also features copper-coloured trim elements and LED ambient lighting that is able to switch from white to red as standard. A comfort-oriented 'Suite' selection comes with leather-upholstered seats, while the sportier 'Dynamic' selection comes with sports seats with integrated headrests are partly upholstered with black Suedia.
Both the Skoda Scala and Skoda Kamiq will be offered in the U.K. with a petrol-powered engine range that starts with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder than offers 93bhp paired to a five-speed manual.
A 114bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder is also offered, available with either a six-speed manual of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. A 1.5-litre four-cylinder is also available complete with cylinder deactivation technology and paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
