Shell teases special promotions ahead of National Day 2024

Ever wondered what it's like to fill your tank up with a premium fuel? Now might be a great time for you to try things out.

As the nation's birthday pulls closer into view, Shell has announced that it is reprising its promotion for motorists to enjoy Shell V-Power at the price of Shell FuelSave 98, alongside other rewards exclusive to this period. The National Day promotions effectively continue what the firm had previously rolled out for SAF Day and the 40^th Total anniversary.

Citibank card holders can look forward to the best discounts during this promotional period too, with fuel savings of up to 25.48%

Shell has dubbed Shell V-Power its "best fuel yet". The fuel boasts new generation deposit-targeting technology for both newer and older cars - and even hybrid engines - to deep clean them like never before, and is said to remove 100% of performance-robbing deposits and prevents future build up on vital engine parts. Designed to help engines run more efficiently and perform at their best, Shell V-Power apparently also delivers more power, and quicker acceleration. 

Specifically, motorists can look forward to pumping Shell V-Power at the prevailing price of Shell FuelSave98 over these following weekends, from 7:00am to 10:00pm on the applicable dates: 

• 19 July to 21 July 2024 (Friday to Sunday)
• 26 July to 28 July 2024 (Friday to Sunday)
• 2 August to 4 August 2024 (Friday to Sunday)
• 9 August to 11 August 2024 (Friday to Sunday)

Continuing its longstanding partnership with Citibank, customers who spend with Citi Cards will also get an additional 5% instant discount on Shell V-Power from now till 31 August 2024, and can look forward to fuel savings of up to 25.48%. Tantalisingly, Shells states that this offer still applies for the promotional periods above when motorists pump Shell V-Power at the prevailing price of Shell FuelSave 98.

The Book of Rewards will include fuel discount vouchers, car care products, and other "special treats" and "delightful surprises"

As a final goodie for the period, motorists can also look forward to a Book of Rewards worth over $500, comprising fuel discounts, car care offers, as well as other "special treats" and "delightful surprises".

From now till 31 August 2024, motorists have to fill up a certain amount of Shell V-Power in order to unlock the Book of Rewards, although the numbers differ for cars and bikes: Drivers have to hit 80 litres, while riders have to fill up 30 litres.

The Book of Rewards, however, can only be redeemed from 24 July 2024 while stocks last, and is exclusive to Shell GO+ users with the Shell Asia app, the latter of which can also be used to track the amount of fuel filled (on its 'Home' page). Shell also notes that each Shell GO+ member is entitled to only one redemption of the Book of Rewards, and is only valid for Shell Stations accepting Shell GO+.
