Road closures at Bishan Sports Centre and Jalan Besar Stadium during SEA Games

Beginning Thursday, there will be a series of road closures at Bishan Sports Centre and Horne Road near Jalan Besar Stadium for the SEA Games, reported The Straits Times. The carpark driveway leading into and out of Bishan Sports Centre will be closed to vehicular traffic from now until 11:00pm on Sunday, 14th of June .
On both occasions, access to the named locations will be granted only to police and emergency vehicles. Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed.
The centre will be used for football and gymnastics competitions at the SEA Games. The driveway will be closed to facilitate traffic arrangements for the events there. Horne Road, which is between Hamilton Road and King George's Avenue, will be closed on two occasions to facilitate the football games held at Jalan Besar Stadium.
It will be closed from Monday, 1st of June to Thursday, 4th of June, from 5:00pm to 11:59pm daily. It will also be closed from Saturday, the 6th of June to Thursday, 11th of June, from 5:00pm to 11:59pm daily. The SEA Games are from the 5th to 16th of June.
