Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race series to debut in Singapore!

SC Global will be title sponsor of Round 9 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at the 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix in September. The name of the race was officially announced today as the 'Porsche SC Global Carrera Cup Asia - Singapore 2008'.
In addition, SC Global will be the series' Official Real Estate Partner for the entire 2008 season, which gets underway at the 2008 FORMULA 1� Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix this weekend.
New Cup Car

The new car, built by Porsche Motorsport in Weissach, Germany, boasts a 420bhp engine, an increase of 20bhp over last season's model, additional torque, and an upgraded gearbox. Design modifications which, combined with the engine upgrades, will further enhance performance ensuring even faster and more exciting racing this season, include the bumper panel from the 911 GT3 road car at the rear.
As for Singapore, each of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars lining up on the grid for the start of the historic September race will bear the name of SC Global.

SC Global has also strengthened its involvement with the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia with the formation of the new SC Global Racing team, with 2004 Champion Matthew Marsh at the wheel - a seasoned driver who has tackled prestigious race meetings worldwide including Bathurst, Daytona and Le Mans 24 Hour races.
Supporting the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia are two of the most recognized names in international motorsport - Mobil1 and Michelin. Porsche Carrera Cup Asia drivers also have the advantage of racing on cutting-edge tyres supplied by series partner Michelin.
