Peugeot teases all new E-3008 with social media campaign

Previously outlined by Peugeot to be its first model ever to be built atop of the EV-dedicated STLA platform, the first teaser images of the E-3008 have finally been revealed by the French firm.
The 3008 that we know today is a compact crossover that conforms more to the traditional, rugged SUV look, replete with Peugeot's typical feline-like design accents - but what will succeed it has now been confirmed as a fastback. Although still decked out in camouflage, its shape is already reminiscent of Peugeot's latest, all new model: The 408 fastback.
Interestingly, instead of keeping the camouflaged car quiet on unpublicised test drive routes, Peugeot is taking an alternate approach of drawing as much attention to the car as possible.
The latest camouflaged images of the E-3008 coincide with the company's announcement of a new media campaign, named "#CAMOCATCH CHALLENGE".
As the E-3008 plies European roads over the summer for its final development tests, those who spot it are encouraged to post the image on their socials (Facebook and Instagram) and tag Peugeot with the relevant hashtag. The camouflaged cars will even wear QR codes directing observers to the #CAMOCATCH operation web page.
These efforts coalesce with an earlier campaign in May and June, during followers of the brand’s social networks were allowed to vote for their favourite camouflage patterns - three of which now feature on the test cars.
With the #CAMOCATCH challenge now running till mid-August, six lucky winners will be exclusively invited to get behind the wheel of the E-3008 in 2024, during the first press test drives. The E-3008 is set to be unveiled in full next September.
Riding on Stellantis Group's revolutionary STLA platform, Peugeot says the E-3008 will be offered with the option of a powerful dual-motor variant, and boast a range of up to 700km.
The first images of the car also reveal an unprecedentedly stylish and sculpted interior, featuring the latest iteration of Peugeot's signature i-cockpit.
