Having previously released a sketch of the new 2016 Sportage, Kia has released the first official image of the car ahead of its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The biggest change is in the front, with the head lights no longer integrated into the grille, as they were in the previous generation Sportage. The head lights now sit much higher up along the bonnet, giving the new Sportage a much more aggressive demeanour.
The side profile of the new Sportage is also sleeker, with more pronounced wheel arches and a sharp line running along the side doors. The rear of the car features a sophisticated design inspired by the 2013 Kia Provo concept car. The indicator lights are much lower down than before, and a strong line runs across the boot lid, creating a much more muscular look.
Look out for more details regarding the 2016 Sportage that will be officially announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
