Mercedes me Charge reaches new charging point milestone

Mercedes-Benz has announced that its Mercedes me Charge network now bundles more than 1.5 million charging points worldwide.
The network is said to encompass more than 1,300 charge point operators, and is offered in 21 countries, making it one of the largest public charging networks in the world to be consistently operated under the same product name worldwide.
Approximately 600,000 of these charging points are located in Europe, more than 800,000 in Asia, and close to 100,000 in North America. In Germany, the Mercedes me Charge network is said to integrate more than 90% of all the country's charging points.
Users of the network are ensured transparent charging prices, and can view the specific cost per kilowatt-hour or per minute, along with an estimate of the total cost to fully charge on the MBUX display or in the Mercedes me app before starting the charging process. Customers then pay the standard rate set by the operator of the charging station they use, although in Europe, users of the network also have the option to charge at a fixed price independent of the operator.
Mercedes-Benz states that it is still working to expand the network, which will soon integrate the 10,000 charging points of the planned Mercedes-Benz Charging Network, alongside those of the ongoing collaborations (such as this one) to establish a charging infrastructure in North America and China.
