Mercedes-AMG A45 and CLA45 get 'Edition 55' treatment

Mercedes-AMG has announced it will be releasing a few new 'Edition 55' special edition models, all launched in celebration of the 55th anniversary of AMG.
The latest models to get 'Edition 55' special editions include the A45 4Matic and A45 S 4Matic Saloon, as well as the CLA45 4Matic and CLA45 S 4Matic in both Coupe and Shooting Brake bodystyles.
The 'Edition 55' models get 19-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels, along with a special decal that runs along the side of the car The 45-line of 'Edition 55' cars get either a cosmos black metallic or digital white metallic exterior paint finish, underscoring their exclusive look. All 45-line 'Edition 55' models also get the AMG Aerodynamics package, which comprises a front apron with a larger front splitter and additional flics, an AMG rear wing, deflector elements at the simulated side air outlets of the rear apron, and the diffuser blade, all painted in high-gloss black.
The AMG Night package and the AMG Night package II also enhance the dynamic appearance of the 'Edition 55' models. These packages finish the front splitter and the trim elements on the louvres in the outer air intakes, plus the inserts in the AMG side sill panels and the exterior mirror housings, among other pieces, in high-gloss black.
The cars also get their rear tailpipe trims finished in black chrome and heat-insulating dark tinted glass. The louvres in the AMG-specific radiator grille in black chrome and the badging on the boot lid and wings in high-gloss black complete the exclusive appearance.
The cabins of the special edition cars get a red/black colour scheme, along with AMG Performance seats and an AMG Performance steering wheel The cars also get a unique decal on each side, which sport the traditional AMG emblem and suggested AMG rhombus, and runs from grey to transparent.
19‑inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels painted in titanium grey sport centre caps with 'Edition 55' elements round off the powerful overall look. As with the 35-line 'Edition 55' special edition models, the cars also get the AMG fuel filler cap in silver chrome with AMG lettering.
The interior of the 45-line 'Edition 55' cars get a black and red colour scheme. Here, AMG Performance seats are upholstered in two-tone red/black leather.
There's also an AMG Performance steering wheel in Dinamica microfibre with 'Edition 55' badges and a black 12 o'clock marking.
