Mazda further increases appeal of CX-5 with new low emission model

The Mazda CX-5 range was the first to benefit from the Japanese firm's critically acclaimed SkyActiv suite of technologies, and the new two-wheel drive SE-L Lux is powered by the SkyActiv-D 2.2-litre Diesel engine rated at 147bhp, mated to a manual transmission. The power unit emits just 119g/km of CO2 while returning 26.1km/L on the combined cycle. The Mazda CX-5 SE-L Lux sits between the existing Mazda CX-5 2.2-litre SE-L and Sport models.
The new model is based on the already generously specified SE-L manual, albeit with additional features like a power tilt and slide sunroof, full leather trim, six-way power adjustable driver's seat and heated front seats at just £1,200 (S$2,394) more.
The innovative suite of SkyActiv technologies centres on three key areas - sophisticated lightweight chassis technology, advanced engines and highly efficient six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
Mazda Head of Fleet Steve Tomlinson said, "The Mazda CX-5 range benefits from a low rate of depreciation that delivers high residual values, while low fuel consumption minimises the second biggest contributor to total cost of ownership. Factor in class leading CO2 emissions and numerous corporate savings, and the already attractive Mazda CX-5 becomes an even more compelling fleet proposition with the addition of the SE-L Lux variant."
