Following four months of renovation work, Kia Singapore officially opened the doors to its refurbished showroom earlier today.
Located at the Cycle & Carriage building at 239 Alexandra Road, the revamped facility reflects Kia's 'Opposites United' design philosophy.
Its Display Zone for new car models is cool, futuristic and tranquil, while the lounge-like Customer Zone or aftersales area has a warmer feel and more inviting aesthetic.
The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and was followed by a traditional lion dance. Guests were then ushered into the showroom as the festivities continued.
The 4,000 square foot showroom's reopening also marked Cycle & Carriage Singapore's 23rd year as Kia's official agent in Singapore.
Wilfrid Foo, Managing Director of Cycle & Carriage Singapore, also highlighted that the last showroom revamp was in 2014, so the refresh was timely, especially given Kia's new direction, which is to transform itself into a "leading mobility solution provider".
Also unveiled at the event was the Kia Niro Plus EV, a purpose-built vehicle (PBV) marketed to taxi companies and private-hire firms.
Unlike the Niro Plus Hybrid launched earlier this year, the Niro Plus EV has a full electric powertrain.
Its motor, driven by a 64kWh lithium-ion battery, produces 143bhp and 395Nm of torque. Total driving range (WLTP) is 427km, and the car is currently priced at $189,999 with COE.
