Ford's Ecosport delivers big by going small

Powered by a range of drivetrain configurations including a new 1.0-litre, three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, the aerodynamic Ford EcoSport aims to set a benchmark in fuel economy while giving customers the performance of a larger engine. The EcoSport features Ford’s SYNC system together with smart keyless entry, Ford power start, and a cooled bin in the glovebox. The cabin is spacious for five and is poised to deliver high levels of comfort with minimal noise. Not compromising on safety, the EcoSport offers dual front and side curtain airbags, as well as Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Program.
The EcoSport joins Ford's family of small global vehicles, which will reach production capacity of 2 million units per annum by 2015 and will be built in China, India, Thailand and South America. A distinctive Mars Red coloured EcoSport Titanium was presented in Beijing during the motor show. The Titanium variant has 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels and a chrome grille.
