Changi Airport begins trial closure of T1 open-air car park

Changi Airport started the trial closure of its Terminal 1 (T1) open-air car park yesterday in preparation of a new retail development called the Project Jewel.
The Straits Times reported that the new parking arrangement at Terminal 2 (T2) went well, and motorists reacted in an orderly manner. The local paper also found that there were no lack of parking spaces during the off-peak period between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
However, some drivers were confused about how to go to T1 after they have parked their cars at T2.
The trial started yesterday and the car park will remain closed till 2:00am next Tuesday.
