BMW X1 tuned by AC Schnitzer

AC Schnitzer is expected to showcase the newly kitted-out X1 at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The tuner have worked on all three of the X1's diesel engines, with the 1.8-litre unit getting an increase in power to 169bhp, while the 2.0-litre unit has been tuned to 207bhp.
The 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel has also been uprated to 237bhp. However, the petrol-powered 2.8-litre straight-six remains unchanged, producing 254bhp. The improvements are available for both the sDrive and xDrive variants.
Other changes to the X1 include new 19-inch double-spoke Type VIII wheels, with options for 18 and 20-inch sizes. Aerodynamic changes include extensions to the front spoiler and rear skirt, while there are new vents in the bonnet. Inside, AC Schnitzer has given the X1 a new aluminium gear knob available with a digital display, an aluminium cover for the i-Drive controller, aluminium parking brake and pedals, and carbon fibre trim.
