BMW Group Asia has delivered up to 10,628 vehicles to customers in 2015 across East Asia, an increase of 3.1 percent. The East Asia region comprises 14 markets including Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Bangladesh, Guam, Mongolia, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
"In 2015, our key markets like Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines have experienced positive growth throughout the year, while certain markets like Singapore and Sri Lanka were faced with headwinds like the effects of regulation changes. But we're confident of recapturing the grounds in Singapore with the arrival of our all new BMW 7 Series flagship limousine and the introduction of new engine variants and body concepts such as the BMW 216d Gran Tourer and 216d Active Tourer," said Mr. Axel Pannes, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia.
"This year, we have arrived at an even more significant milestone as the BMW Group celebrates its centenary. Over the past 100 years, the automotive industry has changed significantly with many groundbreaking innovations developed. The BMW Group is proud to have assumed an active role as an innovator and to have contributed towards many of these changes during this period; from the electronic speedometer, to Park Distance Control, to the revolutionary iDrive operating system, all of which have become an industry benchmark for modern cars today. In 2016, we'll continue to introduce new models for both BMW and MINI across our region to continue keeping our customers engaged," concluded Mr. Pannes.
