Having made its Asian debut at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, further specifications were announced for the EXP 9 F SUV concept. The company is currently still contemplating its production but the signs are positive and production is close as they reveal a couple of powertrains that are under consideration.
One powertrain that is certain to go to the luxurious crossover will be the flagship 6.0-litre W12 engine, which will develop a total output of 600bhp and an impressive peak torque of 800Nm. Besides the massive W12, a 4.0-litre V8 unit, the same one which made its debut on the Continental recently, will also be included in the lineup, but the most important one will be the ground breaking V6 plug-in hybrid, which will allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under 5 seconds and travel up to 30km on the electric mode.
One area that the Bentley SUV concept has not been ground breaking is the design of the vehicle. The critcism of the design may lead to a redesign before it hits production.
