2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series to get 630bhp

It was sad news to hear that Mercedes-Benz was slashing its production of the S-Class recently but fortunately with the bad news also comes the good. New reports have emerged, allegedly from an inside source of Mercedes-Benz that the 2014 SLS AMG Black Series will get 630bhp. This is a 39bhp boost over the standard SLS GT which has 591bhp. With the boost, the SLS Black Series should be able to do the 0-100km/h in under 3.4 seconds as opposed to the 3.7 seconds for the SLS GT.
 
Styling wise, it is speculated that the SLS Black Series will be heavily influenced by the recently announced SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary Edition. The same inside source also pointed that the front bumper will be revised, along with the hood that will feature a lower and centre scoop made from carbon fibre. The car's front quarter panels will get huge carbon fibre air intakes, the same lightweight material used for the huge rear spoiler. Moving to the interior, it will likely be highly similar to the SL65 AMG Black Series.

This SLS AMG Black Series will likely be launched in Q3 2014, so expect more details to be furnished along the way.
