NEUTO Therapy: Restoring the health of your car
12 May 2015|20,226 views
We all know what it takes to maintain a healthy body. Besides eating in right proportions, we need to regularly exercise to maintain a good state of health. The same applies when it comes to maintaining a 'healthy' car, such as proper care and regular maintenance.

Problem: Less responsive engine and a loss in performance
Carbon build-up in the engine's combustion chambers can result in loss in performance. Similar to clogged arteries in a human body, an engine that is 'choked' by carbon deposits is likely to run less smoothly and in a less efficient manner. The car may even experience other problems, such as difficulty in starting up on colder mornings.
Solution: 'Decarbonisation'
Currently available in the market are a variety of solutions to clean up carbon deposits. Some of the most common methods include chemical cleaning, which makes use of chemical solvents to dissolve the carbon sediments. However, as the solvents are mostly corrosive in nature, this method may end up harming engine components. Moreover, the chemical and their by-products may be harmful to the environment.
Another 'decarbonising' method is Oxyhydrogen cleaning. Making use of natural element hydrogen, this method is more environmentally-friendly when compared to chemical cleaning. The downside is the hydrogen collected through Oxyhydrogen is wet and not pure. It produces a mixture of hydrogen, oxygen and water vapour, known as Brown gas. Brown gas is easily combustible so storing the gas poses a huge safety threat.
What is NEUTO Therapy and how is it different from other cleaning processes?
By studying the behaviour of hydrogen, Neutrinos Engineering was able to conceive a new decarbonisation process, called NEUTO Therapy. The all new treatment scores a first on many fronts, including being the only automotive carbon treatment process that is 'dry', which in turn eliminates the risk of corrosion to engine components.
Unlike other cleaning methods that adopt a 'one-size-fits-all' approach, NEUTO Therapy is the first and only treatment to introduce a diagnostic-based procedure. As the design and condition of each individual engine may vary, the conventional approach may not be fully effective.

How does NEUTO Therapy work?
First, the vehicle will go for a 'health check-up' via a four-gas emission analysis. Using the built-in Emission Gas Analyser, the system analyses the composition of the car's emission gas via a probe. The system detects the amount of by-products in the exhaust gas, such as hydrocarbon (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and Oxygen (O2). Thereafter, the patented NEUTO iEGA Algorithm diagnoses and prescribes the amount of hydrogen needed to clean up the carbon deposits.

During an actual treatment, we witnessed how the treatment helps to reduce HC, which is an indication of unburned fuel in the system. Besides the interactive touchscreen on the iEGA system, car owners will also receive a hardcopy report, which presents information of the reading, at the end of the procedure.
Judging from the data, we trust that NEUTO Therapy is effective in restoring the engine's health and helps the engine to run in a more efficient manner. For example, the amount of HC and CO in the exhaust gas, which is an indication of partially burnt fuel, has dropped significantly.
What are its advantages and limitations?
NEUTO Therapy is a breakthrough in technology by being the first carbon treatment process that is 'dry'. This is possible by using pure hydrogen (up to 99.9999 percent in purity). As the hydrogen used exists in a gaseous state, it is also able to reach and effectively 'clean' more areas within the powertrain - without having to physically open the engine.
To eliminate the safety risk of conventional hydrogen storage systems, the company uses a new metal hydride canister storage system. Hydrogen gas is stored in its solid form, thereby maintaining a high state of purity at low pressure, which makes it safe for transport and handling in car workshops.
However, the treatment has a limitation - it is not applicable to wankel/rotary or hybrid cars.
Where can I find NEUTO Therapy?
NEUTO Therapy is available at eight workshops islandwide. All walk-in customers will enjoy a free session of NEUTO health analysis and consultation by mechanics.
Neutrinos will be running a SG50 promotion that offers more than 50 percent discount on NEUTO Therapy treatment.
For cars with engine capacity below 1.6-litre - $78 (Usual price - $128)
For cars with engine capacity above 1.6-litre - $108 (Usual price - $255)
Promotion period is from 15th May 2015 to 31st August 2015.
