Aston Martin Works: Pure heart in heritage

Located at Aston Martin's historic Newport Pagnell site, the Aston Martin Works - as what it's called - is a dream come true for fans of the carmaker.
Sporting a strikingly contemporary structure, the building holds countless grandiose heritage and rare cars alike - such as the DB4 GT, the Aston Martin Lagonda saloon as well as several Zagatos - that would make even the most discerning collector drool with envy.
A place for heritage to continue
Some of them, such as the track-only DB4 GT, are rebuilt from the original configuration of the past technology and skill to the current standards or perhaps even better.
For instance, issues preventing overheating as well as leakage have been addressed with the DB4 GT. Thus, the rare car may look like a 1959 model, but it is in fact a 2017 creation.
Paul Spires, Managing Director of Aston Martin Works, said that this is the place that looks forward to producing complete cars again.
Dubbed the 'Continuation Series', these models are certainly rare. The highly sought-after DB4 GT came with a limited-run of just 25 models, which is also why the price has been driven up significantly. The DB4 GT Continuation will set a buyer back by 1.5 million pounds (approx. S$2.7 million).
According to Paul, U.S.A is one of the biggest markets for this car, with eight units being delivered there. U.K., on the other hand, saw a total delivery of four cars while the Asia Pacific region had an overall of three units delivered.
The next project Aston Martin Works will be doing is the DB5 Goldfinger, a car made popular by the James Bond movie.

More than just building 'Continuation Series' models, this is the place for owners to come and get their cars serviced. But it's not just any regular servicing we're talking about.
Aston Martin Works does only about 3,500 servicing a year. It's not the cheapest, as they've admitted, but it's certainly the most trustworthy. Every car here is meticulously assessed and reviewed with the utmost integrity.
This includes services such as painting, trimming, panel production, original parts and the usual repair work. Such a positive attitude towards something as simple as servicing cars certainly befits a hand-built legendary carmaker like Aston Martin.
But what takes the icing on the cake has to be the fact that owners from around the world do not necessarily have to send in their Astons to Newport Pagnell.
Should it be necessary, Paul says that teams can fly down to wherever they're needed to the owners - a sign of commitment to ensuring that all Aston Martin owners are able to continue the lifespan of their cars.
"Our cars shouldn't be in museums. They should be up and running on the roads," exclaimed Paul with absolute conviction.
A place of love to remember Aston by
Thus, it only makes sense that a discerning collector can just walk into the Works and purchase a rare Aston. With its unrivalled pride and passion for the brand, there's a range of vibrant heritage models that are available for sale.
From the DB4 Series 1 and the DB6 Mk2 to the AMV8 Saloon and the Vanquish S Ultimate Coupe, there is hardly a car in there that would not put a smile on your face.
Hell, even as a visitor, I was already leaving with a smile. Imagine if I was a customer...
