Personally, I love my new tyres. I had a set before but the new ones obviously have a different carcass than the old ones. One of the things I like about them is that even though ultimate grip may be sacrificed a bit, the breakaway is so progressive that it's easy to tease the limit. My car is properly lowered using good stuff and carefully researched alignment specifications. I drive very aggressively and keep my rear sway bar in the full stiff setting so I hang the tail out a lot. The last set lasted three seasons of brutality. Ultimate treadwear huh?

What I like
The ultimate wear rate is totally undeniably fantastic.

What I do not like
These tyres are heavy, real heavy.

I found a very affordable, quality alternative in the Kumho - Solus KH17. They ride perfectly well. They handle rain and standing water really well! They seems to grip well too. I can also enjoy the smooth ride with these lovely tyres. I was really impressed with the good traction. I really feel safe driving now.

What I like
They handle rain and standing water really well.

What I do not like
Start to get bit noisy when the tread life starts to wear..

A brilliant everyday tyre with outstanding levels of grip when it is of the correct temperature. Astounding performance when on the dry tarmac. The traction and subsequently, the braking performance was also excellent! The side walls are stiff enough to give you good feedback through the corners and great confidence and aggression. They are however quite noisy and are not suitable for anybody who i's concerned with such comfort factors. In the wet they are safe but not particularly confidence inspiring, I believe this is due to the harder compound. A good description would be as a high performance/track tyre for the road which gives a good idea of what they are designed for. However the price of these fantastic tyres are far more reasonable than similar offerings.

What I like
Great set of performance tyres that performs outstandingly as compared to previous performance tyres I've used. The aggressiveness of these tyres are just mind blowing. Love every single mile I'm driving on it.

What I do not like
Well, I must say the wear on this tyres are quite fast, for the fact that they perform so well.

As I'd like to stick to the stock wheels and there is not much choice for performance tyres of this size, I picked the Solus KH17 without much expectation. The sidewall is pretty soft and I've to pump up to pretty high tyre pressure to support my 5-series weight. Other than that, I have actually got nothing negative to say about the tyres. Dry grip is really good and even though the rubber tends to be on the soft side, it still manages to provide more than enough road feedback and make you feel linked to the car, to the wheels, to the road. Wet grip is exceptional and the downside to this is that you tend not to slow down much even under a downpour. With all these performance, one would expect to pay the price in term of noise but strange enough they are minimal compared to other performance tyres.

What I like
Performance unleashed with these performance tyres.

What I do not like
Being a performance tyre, they bear a heavy price tag.

I have used these Kumho Solus KH17 in the past after being recommended by my relatives. So far I am very satisfied especially for the comfort they provide. Progressiveness might become tricky - it feels sometimes that in steep turns or in high speed turns the tyres have the tendency to become soapy and slippery, or in other words sometimes when driving at the limit I have the sensation that the tyres are not solid down on the asphalt. But most of the times I am a normal driver so there is not such a problem. The tyres are very good. I will trust them forever!

What I like
Excellent comfort. Exactly something I had always wanted.

What I do not like
Treadwear a little bit bad, but it doesn't bother me much. Still getting them for my next replacement anyways.

Just got these tyres about a month ago. First impression is the way it looks. The thread pattern looks similar to semi slicks. On dry surface, it gives me absolute confidence, knowing that they it will grip. On wet surface, they grip very well, much better than i expected, probably because they are still new. Road noise is may be quite annoying for those silent moving cars, but it does not bother me much since i already have a loud car. These Kumho Solus KH17 has a treadlife that lasts pretty long! Would recommend it to average performance lovers!

What I like
Awesome grip on dry or wet asphalt.

What I do not like
Road noise sometimes do annoy me, because I don't just hear pure engine sound.

Bought these after I purchased a set of Solus KH15. These proved to, at first, be the worst tyres until the tread blocks wore down several millimetres, did they then provided good levels of grip in both the wet and the dry. I will admit to being a spirited driver but found these tyres no worse for losing grip whilst cornering than many of the big named brands and when you consider you can buy 4 tyres for the price of three of the premium brands, these tyres get a big thumbs up for cost effectiveness. They do have a down side they aren't as good in the wet as the KH15.

What I like
Reasonable pricing for a good set of tyres!

What I do not like
The first few kilometres of drive on these could be dangerous, but you get awarded once it seasons up.

These tyres have an amazing grip on the tarmac, and are silent. Very little to no squeel at all when maneuvering around. Had been using it for quite some time now, and it sure is durable! Threads are still there.

What I like
The amazing grip it has and how the price is right.

What I do not like
Sidewall seems to be bit soft.

Tires came as stock on my car and used it for 3 years. Still have lots of threads left but replaced the tires as it has harden and losing grip. Went touring up north couple of times and it served me really really well. Comfortable on long trips without losing its grip on the constant high speeds of the NS highway. It's comfortable for rear seat passengers as tire walls are soft which provides good ride quality.

What I like
Very durable and long lasting touring tires. Good dry and wet grip on our hot tropical climate. Quiet tires.

What I do not like
Soft Side Walls
