Drove this car of my brother's, it is the facelifted model with the new emblem.

This car looks very nice, one of the most stylish on the road. The interior design is modern and has a premium feel to it. Feature wise it is very well equipped, making it very good bang for buck.

The drive is quite dull, no surprise here, as it is using a old engine which is not inspiring. However, it is comfortable, has a pliant ride, and noise insulation is quite good.

It lacks power so overtaking really needs effort to pick up acceleration way bef ore overtaking. In this aspect it is therefore not an inspiring drive. When cornering, there is some obvious rolling and lifting, due to the softly tuned suspension.

The interior space is commendable, and sits five passengers well for any distance of driving in Singapore.

Given the price which is the lowest in its class, I'd say this is a very practical car to buy, and Korean car's reliability has come a long way to close the gap with the Japanese.

Overall, it is a car that makes sense to own.

What I like
'Nice exterior design and interior design and material.
Plenty features.
Comfortable and pliant ride
Good insulation.
Reliable and economical to maintain.
Best price in compact sedan class.

What I do not like
Lack of power.
Cornering fast doesn't instill much confidence.
Aged engine means it is not very refined, and fuel consumption is far from the best in its class.

Likes:
- all spec-ed up with safety features like lane keeping assist, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control
- ventilated seats is a pleasant feature to have.
- Apple Car Play with a big screen
- drive is smooth, daily car, power is ample and sufficient, engine is efficient
- sunroof is a bonus but hardly use in Singapore
- design is fantastic

Dislikes:
- not even a mild hybrid? Come on, it's 2022!
- Apple Car Play is wired, got a wireless charging but my console is dangling with a cable just for Apple Car Play
- driving display could be fully digital, as some of the information in that small screen is challenging to decipher

Overall, a very worth it vehicle to buy. For its awesome price range and C&C warranty and services are magnificent. I would give it a "Just Buy" Rating.

The 2022 KIA Cerato 1.6 GT Line is my first Korean Sedan after owing Honda, Nissan and Subaru cars. I've been driving this fine car for 2 weeks and here's my review.

The Cerato is a Sedan for the family as it gets the job done in comfort and style with a dash of finesse from its striking front grille. Though not attention seeking like the Avante, the Cerato with its modern simplicity and practical luxury can certainly hold its own among the mid sized Sedans in the market. Definitely a Sedan worth to check out if you don't intend on spending $150K for a family car. So far, the average fuel consumption is at 12.5 km per litre

(Positives)
* It is safety features packed! From its Forward Collision Avoidance Assist to Parking Distance Warning, you will surely feel safe and secured in it.
* Ventilated driver and front passenger seats is a big plus for the hot and humid weather here.
* in car entertainment system just gotten a boost with its 10.25 inch touchscreen display that supports both Apple airplay and Android Auto.
* Smart trunk system - You stand behind the car and the trunk will pop open. No interaction or kicks needed.

(Negatives)
* Pick up can be sluggish but then again this is a family Sedan and not a F1 car.
* Interior finishings could do with being less plasticky.
* No slot compartment behind the driver's seat.

Having driven the facelifted KIA Cerato EX for a few weeks now, I must say that I have been thoroughly impressed, and at this price point, this is the best value car there is on the market now in terms of features, design and driving experience.

For a start, this is a impeccably modern and stylish car, with the new KIA logo and tiger nose grill adding to the overall design. As a testament to that, not only did I get numerous comments from family and friends about how good looking the car was, it was the first time I got stares and glances from pedestrians while waiting at a traffic junction! The designers at KIA have really done a wonderful job; The car looks both sporty (especially the back and front grille) yet modern. Some friends even said it looks like a BMW 3 Series, which speaks to the BMW design elements since KIA's Head of Design was ex-BMW. This is especially important when you compare to its cousin Avante, which has a polarizing exterior design that many friends & family who bought said they have regretted.

The interior is also superbly designed, which I dare say rivals your conti brands and definitely much nicer that the Japanese ones I have driven. The interior design, while modern and minimalistic, is loaded with features such as a 10.25 inch touch screen, auto brake hold, rear aircon vents, and even Apple Carplay and Android Auto (it is a sin for a car not to have these nowadays! I am looking at you, Japanese cars). It is also loaded with safety features like blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist and lane departure warning etc.

Boot space is the largest in its class at 502 liters. In terms of fuel efficiency, on highways, I managed to clock up to 17.2 km/h, which is even higher than the 15 km/l stated.

What I like
- Beautiful exterior design that is both sporty and modern, and more importantly, a design that can stand the test of time.
- New KIA logo, tiger nose grill, and front and back bumpers exude style
- Android Auto and Apple Carplay
- Rear Aircon vents
- Largest boot space in its class
- Loads of safety features like blind spot assist, lane departure warning etc which is important for families
- Great warranty and service package from a reputable AD like Cycle & Carriage
- Great fuel efficiency

What I do not like
- Would be good if the EX version had electric seats and auto rain sensing wipers

Having driven the Cerato for about a month, and having owned the previous generation (K3) for 4 years, I must comment that KIA has come a long way since. While it's cousin Avante has a more polarising look, the Cerato has a more 'generic' look, coming through as more mainstream. Nevertheless, it looks smart and sharp to me. It's many included features make the car a very worthwhile buy as compared to the competitors like the Altis, Civic etc, not to even mention the price difference. Definitely there will be die hard continental, Japanese car fans who will not even take a second look at KIA when purchasing a car. However, having owned a KIA for a number of years, and seeing the number of COE renewed Fortes on our roads, the reliability speaks for itself. The ride is comfortable, quiet and reasonably powerful enough for day to day drives. Combined with the new active safety and existing passive safety features, it is a well suited car for our driving environment.

What I like
- New active safety features like lane keep assist, Blind spot warning eetc.
- LED lights all round
- Quiet and good quality feel in the build
- Smart looking design (subjective though)
- Smooth transmission
- Ventilated seats
- Spacious boot for barang barang
- good warranty package from CnC (5 years)
- OEM tyres (NEXEN) surprisingly good

What I do not like
- No use for the sunroof
- No full digital drivers display like the Avante
- Slightly firm suspension
- Older generation engine and gearbox

When it comes to Korean family sedans of this price point, most will think of the Avante. But I'm one of those that really can't stand the design on those, especially that needless, angular crease on the door that looks like the car was involved in an accident...

Okay, enough about the Avante, it's the Cerato's review. The Cerato's design isn't anything extremely polarising, it's deisgn isn't unnecessarily complicated just to make it stand out from the others. Instead, you get a simple and apt design for a value-for-money, economical family sedan. Sweet and unpretentious.

The Cerato is also packed with all sorts of features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance and most importantly - ventilated seats! (YES! Avante isn't the only family sedan that has these lifesavers!)

Now, with the same engine as before, the Cerato sure isn't particularly fast, but I don;T really see why you would need much more power from such a car. It does it's job just fine without massive power.

What I like
- Many features
- VENTILATED SEATS!
- Simple, unpretentious design

What I do not like
- While the price is not too shabby, the Cerato would be way more attractive if it costs lesser

The Kia Cerato gets updated with new headlights, a new tiger nose grille and Kia's latest logo.

As with many cars from Korea, its decently built, the tech is accessible and intuitive to use.

What I like
It's a handsome looking thing the new Cerato, but there's no need to get too excited. It's only reasonably fast, and as a family sedan there's really nothing much to write home about when it comes to handling.

Still, there's a rather swanky interior, and its all spacious and very practical as well. Feels well-built, even next to a lot of other Korean brand cars.

What I do not like
It's a sensible sedan for the family. Don't expect too much.

Slimmer headlights and a slimmer front grille make the new Cerato a real looker. Great if you think this generation Hyundai Avante is a bit too much.

What I like
There's new headlights, the grille, oh, and a new badge at the front. That badge looks a bit too big on the Cerato to me but if you want your family sedan a bit more discreet than the Avante this would be the best option, especially now that the new Civic looks a bit bland and basic.

Features like blind spot monitoring, apple car play android auto and ventilated seats on the high-spec cars are always welcome at this budget.

What I do not like
Interior can be a bit boring to look at. Plus, those red fog lamp surrounds on the high spec car stick out quite a fair bit.
