This shop has been around for many years and it is my go-to shop when I need to change tyres, batteries , rims etc.
The boss was friendly and give me good advice, not pushy and the service is so efficient and fast. I left my car there and went for a quick lunch. It was done perfectly within 20 minutes with 4 tyres changed and balanced. The prices was reasonable too. Highly recommended

Went to get my tyres changed today and it was extremely efficient. Got there and as I got out of the car, they started to jack up all 4 sides of the car, removed the wheels and proceeded to change the tyres. It almost felt like a Formula 1 pitstop. In and out of there in about 15mins. Talk about efficiency.

I have been going to Tong Hin & Co at Blk 119 Bukit Merah Lane 1 (Tel: 62717976) when I need to change tyre/batteries/rims or just do simple services, eg. Alignment, balancing etc. The owner of the shop Mr. Benjamin Ng is very knowledgeable as he has been in this trade for more than 40 years. He knows the performance and differences of different brands and gives me good advices on choices of brands. The prices are reasonable and services very fast and efficient. They are also open on Sundays and Public Holidays but close early on Sunday and PH at 3 pm.

Bought 4 pcs KUMHO KU39 about a month ago. So far so good. It was past their closing time at 7pm and workers were eager to leave but they stayed till 730pm to finish my job. They initially offered to only change 1 pc of my tyre (which was flat) so I guess they should be credited for not wanting to push a sale on me. Pricing wise was a touch(~S$10/tyre) higher that that offered on Tyrepac, even after considering installation costs for Tyrepac. Shop should have a lounge to entertain customers while their vehicles are being worked on.

My battery was almost flat - and the authorized service center for my car was charging more than double. I called Benjamin who was extremely helpful in getting the right battery for my car and getting it installed within minutes

And I also got all the 4 tyres replaced at Tong Hin - impossible to beat prices !

2 months ago on a Sunday, my battery died when I stopped at Toa Payoh to buy the Tiong Bahru Poa.. I called A.A as I am a member. The response from the A.A was I needed to wait at least 2 hours. It was about 3.30 pm and I was stressed. I immediately called up the boss of Tong Hin to check if the shop was still open. Mr. Ng answered the call and after listening to my plight, he said the shop usually close around 3 pm on Sunday. However, he kindly agreed to wait for me despite the fact that A.A would probably come in 2 hours time. To this, he said no problem and he would let the workers go home but can wait for me. I managed to get a kind soul to jump start my engine and drove down to Tong Hin shop at Jalan Bukit Merah. When I reached there, it was almost 4.30 pm. True to his words, the boss was patiently waiting for me and he changed my battery in just 10 minutes. Best of all, he did not charge me anything for waiting and the price of the battery was so much cheaper than the one I bought from A.A. previously. Thank you , Mr. Ng for helping me in distress and also charged me the same price for the battery I bought.

Recently, my car's steering vibrate vigorously when travelling at around 60kmh onwards, i immediate went back to the shop where i last changed the 4 tyres about seven month ago. the servicemen from Tong Hin checked and told me it was due to uneven wear caused by suspension and/or alignment problem and not the tyres. When i went to another shop recommended by my friend to have a check, who advised that the center part of the tyres were bulging, 3 out of 4 tyres were made in 2006 (marked DFH5106), which means made in 2006 and the last piece was in 07. Due to safety, i immediately changed the two front tyres and the problem disappeared. I went straight to asked the mechanic, he told me he didn't check the stock as he has so many tyres change each day, i queried as i was told that it is a new model before i bought it, the boss overheard and raised his voice ' you think i have to throw away those tyres'. I did not want to argue and claim anything from them, just so for the sake of safety of other users. I believed there must be a quality control by the Local distributor, as being one of the Premium Brand. Hope Bridgestone to provide an explantion on this issue?

Reasonable price and my 4 tyres was changed in 15mins. The senior couple there also very friendly. Recommended.
