Cycle & Carriage officially launched its newly acquired brand, Maxus, in its partnership with SAIC. The Maxus V80 is the first model to be showcased and is the vehicle that was used to transport VIPs and game officials during the recent 8th ASEAN Para Games 2015.
Maxus V80, with its spacious interior - boasting 1,800mm wide coupled with its great flexibility for customisation is recognised as a wheel-chair friendly vehicle that can fit up to four wheelchairs with seven passengers.
It is available as a panel van or a 13 and 15 seater commuter.
The Maxus V80 is seen as the ideal vehicle for business in Singapore that seek an automobile that has a proven track record for safety and quality, while allowing customisation to meet unique transportation needs - such as wheelchair configurations with an automatic wheelchair loader and wheelchair secure lock.
The V80's European-tuned suspension and generous legroom provide a more comfortable ride for its occupants. Comfort aside, the vehicle has undergone extensive collision testing, has four disc brakes and is also equipped with advanced safety features including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), and LED daytime running lights. Powering the V80 is a Euro V emission standard 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine that produces 131bhp and 330Nm of torque.
As part of Cycle & Carriage's commitment to improve the lives of the local community through its vehicles, the company is donating one unit of the Maxus V80 to the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC).
