You can now get a CaDA Mercedes-AMG One set

You could soon get your hands on your very own Mercedes-AMG One in 1:8 scale and formed by a total of 3,295 interlocking parts - although this time it doesn't come from the usual suspect.

No, this set is instead now being made available by CaDA, a Chinese firm which apparently has been offering brick construction sets and licensed sets since 2016. And this new Mercedes-AMG One is legit, designed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG itself.

The 3,295-piece CaDA model gets 10-spoke rims, as well as a working front and rear suspension

The set is said to replicate details of the actual car, including its iconic longitudinal fin, retractable rear wing, and the 10-spoke wheels with tyres featuring the original Michelin pattern. Measuring a total of 570mm long, 245mm wide and 160mm tall, the set is also said to come with its own front and rear suspension and working LED lights.

An 'engine', modelled on the six-cylinder present in the original car, also features, although power for the model comes via pullback motors, much like the KERS system of the AMG One. The model is also said sport a two-speed transmission, and can be operated via a remote control.
