Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has announced that from 11 April 2025, orders will be accepted for its evolved GR Yaris at Toyota vehicle dealers across Japan, with sales slated for commencement on 6 May 2025. On the same day as this announcement, TGR also announced details of its GR Yaris factory-installed option Aero Performance Package.
The evolved GR Yaris includes the enhancement of its transmission, with detailed improvements to gear selection control. Responsiveness during sporty driving has also been enhanced and its shift-up timing has been slightly delayed, which maintains high power output even after shifting to a higher gear.
As well as that, special bolts improve steering response and straight-line stability, and its different trim levels have been given different characteristics. The vertical parking brake, introduced as a factory-installed option for the RC of the GR Yaris, and the Toyota Safety Sense, will now be available on all trim levels.
Moving on, its Aero Performance Package maximises aerodynamic performance enhancement and is scheduled to be available as a factory-installed option for the RZ "high performance" and RC. The package includes features such as a ducted aluminium hood, front lip spoiler, fender ducts, fuel tank undercover, variable rear wing, and rear bumper ducts.
The new GR Yaris factory-installed option Aero Performance Package is scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of 2025 or later.
