The new AMG GT is distinguished by darkened headlamp and tail light lenses with unique wheel colours and red-painted brake callipers. The wing-shaped cross fins and the iconic Mercedes star will be treated a new high-gloss black finish just like the exterior mirrors and fins found on the hood and front fenders. The AMG logo on the trunk lid also features the additional "GT" lettering.

On the inside the sports seats are covered in designo leather, and feature Alcantara finished center sections with embossed AMG crest on the head restraint. Alcantara is also found on the door panels, with red seat belts, trimmed floormats and contrast stitching. The steering wheel has been enhanced with side grips finished in Alcantara, a flat bottom section and a new red marking. The instrument clusters are also enhanced with black dials and accent surrounding the LED shift lights.
"The new SLS AMG GT demonstrates the sort of potential which lies in AMG's super sports cars. With its even higher levels of performance, the SLS AMG GT excites out on the race track in particular by providing an emotionally enjoyable and passionate driving experience," Tobias Moers, Board Member and Head of Overall Vehicle Development for Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
