Hyundai Motor has unveiled the all new i10 ahead of its launch at the 2019 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The newest model in the company's range features a new dynamic design, as well as a comprehensive connectivity and advanced safety package.
Like its predecessor, the new i10 is designed, developed and made in Europe. A new, dynamic and sleek design is delivered via the contrast between its soft surfaces and sharp lines.
The new car also sports a lowered roof and wider body than its predecessor, which, together with the optional 16-inch alloy wheels, result in an energetic and agile look.
A wide front grille expresses a sporty character and incorporates the round LED Daytime Running Lights, while at the rear, two horizontal crease lines break up the soft surfaces of the boot and run into the taillight graphics. From the side, the X-shaped C-pillar clearly identifies the car and draws the eye to the pillar-mounted logo.
Customers will be able to choose between 10 exterior base colours, while a two-tone roof in either Black or Red is also offered as an option.
On the inside, one of the standout elements is the extra width created by the air vents which protrude beyond the door trim, supporting the horizontality of the architecture. Luggage space is now amongst the best in the segment at 252 litres, while the lift-in height is 29mm lower, making it easier for drivers to load luggage into the trunk.
The new i10 also features a range of new connectivity features which can be accessed by the 8.0-inch colour touchscreen - the largest in the A-segment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto guarantee seamless integration, while wireless charging means drivers never have to worry about their smartphone's battery running out on a long journey.
The new i10 will be available at launch with two engines - a 1.0-litre MPi 3-cylinder with 66bhp and 96Nm of torque, as well as a 1.2-litre MPi 4-cylinder with 83bhp and 118Nm of torque. Both engines will be available with two transmission choices - a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated manual.
Idle Stop and Go is also a standard feature for all powertrains, contributing to lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
